Its a personal opinion, Mariano wanted more money and hes going to get more money. I don't see the problem you could buy a Tiger ST and watch the superstar every week if you wanted!

| I doubt daddy cool will confirm it, as I think they're waiting to time the announcement to boost season ticket sales, but a crowd pleasing transfer is on the cards.
newground4cas in a straight swap for dave@trin1990.
Cas are holding out for a cash sweetener and Wakefield are thinking of asking the fans to donate to make sure the deal goes through.

| getting back to the game. I travelled not expecting a win but looking forward to seeing how Liam Kay played. He had a solid game took a few high balls well, great interception try and almost scored again late on only to be pulled back for a forward pass, ironic considering the blatant forward pass for one of their tries, seen by everyone but Roby & Childs. We played ok , some defensive lapses , some frustrating penalties, lying on at the fourth tackle which Wire then got another six and scored. Not sure if we were being held down in that tackle or just not up quick enough but the fact that we protested makes me think Wire were holding onto our player and not for the first time in the game. Some other strange decisions too, not sure T knocked on at the play the ball for instance as it not look like that to us .Lee Smith at Centre and Paul Sykes a stand off could have been the difference between a loss and a win. Same as many games ...could have won but not disgraced

A player sustaining a serious injury is an entirely different thing; put it this way - I'd be prepared to bet money on him being in the starting line-up next week.

| Not normally one to focus on the referee but I have to shake my head at Tim Robys performance yesterday.
For example but amongst many other baffling decisions:
The try which virtually sealed it for Warrington was a sequence of disgraceful decisions from th official,
Firstly a penalty for an offence which could have been punished 100 times but Roby decided to pick his time, then a forward pass (not seen or ignored), Trinity force the Warrington player over the touch line in one continuous movement but Roby says play the ball at which there was a knock on by M Monas, Roby says back to 1 at which point Wire went wide to the other wing where the try scoring pass was forward a mile (not seen or ignored)
Try given!
I'm not sure what more the Wakefield defence could have done to prevent the try, they scrambled superbly from touch line to touch line, it was as clear a case of a try created by an official as you are likely to see.

Well if its that obvious Mariano 'faked' an injury so not to line up against quality opposition then I expect Agar to omit him the 19 to face Saints regardless.

So he did a "Collis" then or is Mariano viewed in a different light.
If he's pulled a fast one surely Lord Agar will have seen though it.

| I'm not explaining myself properly - I'm not suggesting that he pulled a fast one; rather, that he opts out when things get tough.
I may be wrong, but this is not the first time it's happened.

| Sounds like more of the same from us I'm afraid. It is frustrating not to get disgraced, clearly be capable of some good plays but to continually repeat the same errors and lose games we ought to or might have won. The close season is gonna have to involve some thinking and soul searching as we can't carry on like this

| We're a team of two halves - our pack, in my view, is a match for most in SL, but our edges are, at times, terrible; we're defensively vulnerable and as the season has progressed, Foxy in particular has been ruthlessly targeted by other teams, as they've spotted that weakness a mile off.
I also think that right across the park, we lack a certain kind of cynicism that most other teams have perfected; we're a bit too 'nice,' in that we don't slow a game down when we need to, nor do we milk penalties or play the game on the edges of legality like many other teams do; I would hate to see us become as cynical as some sides, but a bit of dog wouldn't go amiss.

| I would agree the pack can't really be faulted as a whole this year.
Our failings have obviously been in the backs defensively and more so our wing men.
For all the effort and good things in attack that Ben and foxy do there is just too many defensive errors.

| Large element of doubt.
Only highlights I know but Tautai looked a handful and the commentary team of Wire FM thought he was.
Could be a real find if used properly.
Lets all hope so.

He did not ground it, the linesman gave the try, then their was the knock on that they missed

| Just looked at the highlights on the Wakey site and he didn't appear to ground the ball at all. That was a nice freebie for wire.

Initially I thought the same but the speed it propelled forward makes me think it struck the knee of the Wire player. Looked very suspect though.
Now, if only there was some sort of petition we could sign.

I think the lack of any protests from our guys means that it was off the knee. Hodgsons try was short though.

I doubt any player who "goes missing" (I would presume you're saying he feigns/exaggerates injury to leave the field) would make it as a professional rugby league player. 99% of these players have the biggest hearts there is. I also have no doubt that it would be picked up on by players and coaching staff alike, which would beg the question, why would they start him the week after?
I think you're being very harsh on Mariano. Particularly given that you have no idea why he went off. Definitely an issue i'd leave to the coaching/physio.

| I don't think you can see all the ball on Wildcats TV to be able to tell, the majority didn't look to get grounded but the end under his arm could well have been.
