Just done a raft of interviews on behalf of the Wakefield Trinity Supporters Trust and then driven down to Cardiff so I haven't had the chance yet to say welcome to the club Andrew.

I know you've been involved for a while as a sponsor and that members of your family are involved as well but taking the step to own the club at this time of crisis will emotionally attach you to Wakefield Trinity like nothing else you will ever have experienced before.

There'll be some hard times ahead and some tough decisions to be made but as long as you have the best interests of the club at heart, which I believe you do, the fans will follow your lead and have faith in the decisions you make.

No ones expecting overnight miracles, a couple of days maybe, but I genuinely feel that the club has turned a corner with your ownership, here's to a return of the good times.

I don't know whether we've turned a corner now or not. I'll wait and see what our new owner delivers. But I genuinely feel this is the time for a supporters' trust, and one with board representation at that.

I'm glad the initial part of this sorry episode has been resolved though.

From reading some of the posts on this thread , there is the suggestion that your new owner posts and reads this board , if that is the case , then I would like 5 minutes of his time , if you read this mr Glover , take a , chance pm , me , what have you got to lose ?

It's a nice feeling waking up in Cardiff with new owners, it means now we can all just focus on rugby.

In the style of Kevin Keegan "Id just love it if we beat Cas today"

Hopefully now to strengthen the squad a little and have as good a season on the pitch as we can. Make it as difficult as possible for the rfl to get rid of us, even with the points deduction.

Right now its a verbal agreement meaning the deal has not been finalised so the administrators will not be announcing it. I suspect Mr Glover has revealled the news as a boost to the club before the season started rather than letting it drag on over the weekend.

Ideed there is a wealth of experience on the current working party and when the Board of the Trust is finally elected it will represent the voice of the fans and can really help push the club forward for me by attracting new fans, re-engaging lapsed ones and bringing in new sponsors. The Club Board representation will depend on whether shares are sold in the new company and if not whether new owners invite a rep of the Trust onto the Board but regardless of that the Trust will be a great vehicle for fans and club

Please involve us and communicate with the fans, we've been kept in the dark for far too long.

The money paid for the club will go towards the debts and the only liabilities Spirit of 1873 Ltd will inherit relate to staff entitlements. If Glover wishes to take on some of the debts then that's something that would have been part of his offer.

The creditors of WTRLFC Ltd won't get much say as the Administrators had to act quickly to get any sort of deal. If they'd gone through the process of arranging a creditors meeting there wouldn't have been a going concern to save & a liquidation process would have generated much less for the creditors.

This is your best effort yet - I'm sure AG will be on the phone to you without delay, really I am.

Welcome to the club Mr Glover,I hope you feel you have made the right decision and that you can put your plans for moving the club forward into practice as soon as humanly possible.
Some one mentioned your posting on here which I feel will be an error of judgement but the weekly blog sounds a great idea in keeping fans up to speed and helping them feel more in the know as it were.
Lets hope we can all move on and start to feel some of the old pride we once felt.

As a neutral I'm pleased and delighted for you,but please don't build up your expectations too quickly.For what its worth,like any other business,you have to slowly build firm foundations and then live within your means.You can't lose a couple of games and then demand you go out and spend money you don't have.

There are no guarantees that a club will be promoted in 3 years time

to the other poster - I assume from your pointing out I'm a cas supporter and nothing else of any worth in the posting, you're taking the view that any person that questions the goings on is by definition anti-wakefield - it must be nice to live in your ivory tower.
