the decision making in defence is terrible, I think thats the 2nd or 3rd try where someone has gone through untouched. Bradford have targeted atkins and the first half damage has killed us.

quite simply shocking in defence but hey lets all blame grix like last week it looks like hes this seasons scapegoat poor lad

wilkes had one good run and alright sculthorpe was ok

not blaming grix but he has been totall garbage since he got injured he defo shouldnt be in next week

Atkins and grix, and then when he switched wings the traffic switched also!! Defensively far too many errors, did I here someone say 50 missed tackles again Wigan, apart from 25 mins in second half when we didn't have to tackle, we won't have been far off that again.
Obst too many poor passes, latu offers no direction, brough and drew, well we know it's sometimes a non starter, today was one of them days I think!!! Forwards all played well, ferguson was a real handful until he went off, Moore, Wilkes and snitch all played blinders, and blaymire, keep off him signor cappello!!!

personally i though snitch, wilkes, scully and peterson had decent games.

one thing i found strange was when JD went to hooker in the 2nd half for about 15mins when we had latu on the pitch as well. surely after his WC performances latu should be filling in there, JD made a few strange attacking decisions and also gave that bullet to obsty.

I'm a big obst fan but he was killing our moves today! he was either stopping dead and taking it in or giving an average ball.....oh well. role on next week eh

Both wingers constantly getting drawn in field and creating the overlap for the opposition.

JD put too much ball down, Henderson tried hard but isn't the answer and, while he has time on his side, Bibb hasn't overimpressed me yet.


Drew never got a grip on the game and Danny Brough was off colour with his kicking game though he looked sharp when running at the line. Obst is quality but not today unfortunately.

I also think that we made the error of having too many organizers on the field. Tony Martin has just spent 3 months playing as a pivot and when you have a combination of Brough, Drew, Obst/Latu it's too many.

Atkins was poorvin defence as was Grix, Petersen was solid in the tackle and under the high ball. Blaymire did everything asked of him.

I thought Atkins was our stand out under performer for the day, just didnt look interested, there was a moment in the 2nd half when a ball come loose which he should have been diving for but just looked like he couldnt be bothered.

Agree on the organiser comment.

Thought it was quite ironic - that the commentators said how dangerous we could be with all those organisers on the pitch -- when in reality we looked clueless in attack(apart from the little kick).

The biggest concern is how easy the opposition in our last two games have created overlaps or dragged our defence out of postion.
For me,that comes down to a lack of concentration -- our wingers are constantly getting drawn infield to help in the tackle -- but on one on one defence you quite simply cant do that - they have to learn to hold their position.

I just hope Rooney can regain match fitness quickly and come back better than before --- because we are crying out for a Stand Off.

For what it is worth I though Blaymire, Martin and Peterson availed themselves a bit better than the other backs. Martin lacks the pace but at least usually made the right decisions, Peterson looked more comfortable than Atkins and Grix to say it was his first game back.

Snitch was stand out in forwards, Wilkes, Ferguson, Moore and Scully can all hold their heads up high. JD ran his blood to water but it didn't all come off.

Damage was already done in the first half though. Macnamara has watched a video of last week and just pressured us out wide. With their tails up from last week they've chucked it about and we've crumbled.

I can see what people have said about lack of creativity, but I still think we've more options than many teams in SL, especially considering we work on a tightish budget. Yes it hasn't always come off the last few games, but defence has been a bigger issue. With hindsight keeping Martin at stand off, gleeson in centres and using obst off the bench might have been a better idea.

i agree, we looked leaderless in attack sometimes with 3 players trying to take the play ythe ball, probably through instinct.

im a huge sam obst fan but today he was off the pace, hee s eemed wary to attack the line and passed too early.

someones going to have to explain the ryan atkins hero worship to me though,as i just dont get it! I might be alone on this but an international centre, never, he cant pass well enough.

having said that, just 2 blips and i think reality has set in, especially in the backs, we havnt the strenght in depth we thought we had, even jk knew that early on hence the halley deal. Time for a loan winger??
