I don't think we can blame Hampshire for much he does try every week to do something different

he is not worth anymore than we are paying him now .

He obviously thinks not enough, btw, a lot of recruiting is going on now & I think two clubs come to mind in SL who will pay a bit more than us as they loose their players & can adjust within their salary cap accordingly !

It would be a shame to see Hampshire in a shirt that’s not a Wakefield one, he’s been a good fit but the money has to be right. It seems all too easy to fall into a position that Leigh and Salford have been in recent years.

Simple question to you, how do you know the money isn't right and not other issues?, unless you know for sure what sort of money is involved, and if so perhaps you'd like to share your imfo with everybody save us all getting the wrong idea.

Very disappointing he hasn't yet signed for whatever reason.
I still hope he does sign, and personally I'd give him an extended run at No 6 to see if he offers more than Miller.
If he doesn't sign, then so be it, we've lost bigger players many times in the past but the club moves on.

To be honest it's a presumption on the back of MC's comments from last year. On the back of those comments we know Rocky wanted a longer contract and more money, he then signed a one year deal so I guess there are two ways it could have gone:

Rocky got the money he wanted but only on a 1 year deal which gave him time to prove his worth etc
or
Rocky didn't get the money and took a 1 year deal as he had no other options on the table at the time

He might have signed and the club have decided not to announce it yet.

A number of journos seem to be very confident we have signed Alex Walker for next year, i cant see him signing to be sat on the sidelines which indicates to me he is our starting full back next year.

To me this results in either Hampshire leaving or someone like Brough leaving early and Hampshire taking the no 7 shirt.

I suppose we will just have to wait and see...

With Broughy a doubt and Max due to return Hampshire might be partnering Miller in the halves

Belatedly, I was reading League Weekly from last Monday before, and it was saying that Leigh are trying to take Reynolds back.

Now, if that happens and we lose Rocky, where would that leave us for cover in the halves, especially thinking of the injuries weve had this year.

Maybe, couldn't we let Reynolds go, and with the cap space saved there, offer Rocky an improved deal, where both parties can come to agree on some middle ground

We'll probably have Sykes back from Dewsbury he'll be in our price range & He's old enough & slow enough to be a huge asset to us
