I know Tahu has been looking at a salary of around GBP 125k per season in Aus.

If some of the figures quoted on here are to be believed we've somewhere in the region of £700k to spend. If £125k is true we can fit him under with ease.

The place was full. The top table - Dav, James, AG, JK, Glenn all spoke really well about the Club and it's future. Sarah and the girls were busy selling merchandise and fans keen to spend. One question was about Cats Bar. It's leased to the club and will hopefully be used more, who knows even sky sports was mentioned. But more fans need to use it so call in and have a drink or two on Sunday.

What a breath of fresh air tonights event was!

All the top table table spoke very well and just about every aspect of the club was questioned and answered.

Major points for me were:
The Richardson free zone
Re emphasis on young British & talented
James pushing the Newmarket issue at every opportunity
Option to spend the full cap
The will to fight all the way for a franchise
Plans to open Cats Bar with SKY TV available as long as we use it
Trinity is and will remain part of the clubs name alongside Wildcats

Any body else think Mr.Glover has been on here a lot more than we thought, pinching our ideas? I think hr should buy all wakefield rlfans members a shiny new car!

Gutted I couldn't attend, but delighted that the people in charge are coming up with some great ideas for promoting the club, it's almost like they're reading what gets said on here!!

listening to the fans have been in the past ignored and if we can put a suggestion forward every now and again that helps the club then good for us,
me and Jason will be getting in touch with the club about a few ideas on the DSA side of it when everything is more or less settled down

lesson learned there I'd say

The night went well - around 200 ppl id say ... JE spoke that we could possible spend upto the full salary cap but the club would look to be self funded as any business should be !! AG has money and can support the team financially both in the SL and Championship ... That said we operate on a salary cap of around £875000 with a 5000 average attendance but for every 1000 fans on average we can put on the gate then we can take the cap up by around £175000 - this being from a self funded club ... AG looks professional, confident and assured that we can move the club forward with the team we have in place on and off the field ...

I managed to get there for the first half hour or so; what impressed me the most was AG's self assured answers in respect of finances. He was asked several times in several different ways if he had the money to fund the club, and he responded very confidently. He was also very casual about the need to attract additional investors and stated clearly that he's not looking for them because he doesn't have to.

I was buoyed by what I heard and it was great to see the reception that all the panel members got; biggest cheers reserved for Morro and AG it seemed, which was as it should be. Great stuff.

RLfans is a powerfull tool, if used in the right manner.

And Mr Glover is correct about him not posting on here, just won't work out.

No matter what the outcome of Leeds test case with HMRC re Image rights we can't get hit with a historical bill.

This is going to be a big hit for other clubs whichever way it turns out but if Leeds lose therec ould be some 7 figure bills dropping through clubs letter boxes, but not ours!

It's a fantastic thing that they read this, show's they're willing to not only listen to the fan's, but to go out and proactively seek information. Where better to get a general census of fan's feeling's than this place.

With reguards to the stadium and Public Inquiry, was JE insinuating that the council were holding things up, I just presumed that the government were in control of the PI.

I think James was intimating that he is going to ask the council to put some pressure on the government, however to use his turn of phrase on another subject, I think "he is p-ing in the wind" as I don't think the council can do anything now that it has been called in.
It has to go through the process now, regardless of what anybody says. At least that's how I understand it works. Happy to be told I'm wrong if there is someone more in the know.

no just wants to apply pressure on them after them letting us down with TP, if the council then applied pressure to the government who is looking at the PI it would hopefully hurry it along HTH

JE is just telling you what you want to hear with regard the stadium (cant blame him). If anybody is holding things up at the minute it is YC and he is hardly going to publicly criticise them. They are stating it will take around 3 months to sort out the drainage ditch issues and this will need to be done and advertised before the PI. YC will have the biggest say in the bespoke time table and seem to be in no rush.

I'd rather want to hear that they are constantly on their back than sat down tossing it off
