Cannot agree with this at all. They are players for our club, and like it or not their actions reflect on the club and even the City as a whole. We pay week in and week out to watch the product they provide, and we deserve to be able to make an informed choice if they are the type of people we want to contribute financially towards.

When shopping at a hight profile store, the customer often has a chance to check out the store's ethical policy and what they stand for. We deserve to be given the choice here IMO, if the club deems any offence severe enough for disciplinary action.

They have everything to do with the point. You are not interested in what they have done? You dont think the fans have a right to know to make an informed choice? Exagerate to make a point, a little lad may want SCULTHORPE 8 on the back of his shirt, his dad might not want it depending on what they have done- I think its a fair enough request to know what these guys have been disciplinned for. They are roll models and kids (and adults) up and down the County look to them for inspiration.

I would agree if it was a petty infringement that had little or no consequence, but seen as the club have made a statement its a fair assumption that their is more to it - or else why not just keep it in house and under wraps and release to the press they are injured for the weekend?

That is precisely the point - why not do that? I don't know why they chose to go public with a statement, but if the incident was not a matter for public concern, then it was clearly a mistake, IMO. A well-meaning one, perhaps, but a mistake nonetheless.

OK, so we agree on the point - if its a petty matter it should be kept in house and dealt with inernally so the Club appear to have made an error of judgement. But at this stage we don't know if it is a petty matter (or at least I dont, you may know the whole story but only know what's been officially released) if it isn't a petty matter and is something more sinister do you beleive the fans should told the specifics or not?

Sorry Chapster but Scully does a lot to bring awareness about Diabetes to the kids and is an inspiration to a lot of people affected youg and old in reaching their own goals,not sure if you were joking but hey cut the lad some slack it's all speculation at the mo'

Have you ever heard the saying the customer is always right, We the fans are the customers of the club we pay to watch them play whether by paying at the gate or by purchasing a season ticket.
When we turn up for a game we want to see the best team possible play thats what we pay for, Now then we find that two of our senior players have breached club policy and have been banned from the club for a week,
So who is beeing punished the fans who pay there wages or even ther team mates who most probably will have to play with a weakened team facing yet what could be another defeat. So who is losing out, are the players having there wages docked i doubt it.Would it not be better for the Club to fine the players say a weeks wages and donate that money to a much needed charity, Then it is us the fans who dont end up being penalised.

If it is more sinister you'll doubtless be told the specifics because it'll be in the public domain and reported by the press.

In most cases where such things have happened in the past, the press has got to the story first and the club concerned has tried to keep things under wraps. This is clearly not the case here.

I would have thought and hoped that any suspension would also carry at least a partial loss of wages.
