He said that they are still 100% commited to delivering a new community stadium at Belle Vue. This was to also now to include land from the Super bowl site.

Also, he tweeted questioning the council's plans to earmark another site, when, the fans and club would rather stay at Belle Vue.

Could be smoke screen, but it would appear that Manni is also questioning Box and is intentions. Maybe not the acts if your in cahoots with someone

Castleford & Wakefield both need new stadiums. Sharing is not an option for either club - no site agreeable to both would be viable.

If Wakefield get their stadium first, then there would be no impetus at all for a second one at Castleford. Box will not permit a new stadium for Wakefield until Cas get theirs. Then, and only then, we may get some council backing but by then impetus for the second new stadium in the district would be very hard to push through.

Its a sad fact that those willing to put the time in and get involved in local government and being a councillor are not the most dynamic. (trying to be tactful)

Box is head and shoulders above the majority in cunning and slyness and rules by the power of patronage, always has. Also takes great glee in ridiculing folk given the opportunity. On a voting matter of principal he once told me to visit the khasi rather than vote against him or abstain!

" Cllr Box confirms council is continuing to work with @WTrinityRL to progress proposals for community stadium- as soon as we can provide further info we will".

I can hear the can getting kicked further along the road.

So Councillor Box details will be revealed as soon as you are able to.

y'know what, I think Cas are in the same hole we are.
Till the big build gets underway, "plans" are still just a can kicking exercise.
I'm fearing for them almost as much as us these days tbh.
