I have criticised mathers, but on this performance Sykes is not the answer

We've had a bad day at the office and I'm sure there will be more like this one this year but christ, don't go overboard about it! We're still 4 points clear of relegation and we will pick up a few more points before the end of the season. Hopefully I won't have the displeasure of seeing Washbrook in a Wakefield shirt again this year when Annakin gets back.

Lets not go OTT on Washbrook, the lad offers cracking defence. I'm just rather disappointed we continually make changes to the team when we're playing well and those who have shown up well lose their place.

No he doesn't. He has a high workrate but many of those he is second man in. His defence is decent but no better than any of the the other forwards we have. The difference is he offers zero with the ball.

Washbrook is not the player he was 2 years ago. He gets paid to perform at super league standard and he doesn't. No time for sentiment in a year of a relegation battle.
