| Agar signed Molloy and he doesn't seem to be anywhere near getting a game.
I would have given him a go against Bradford and you never know, they could have made an offer for him if he had a good game!
What's gone is gone, need to look to Sunday's game now.
Team will have had a full weeks rest and more time together.
I'm sure the players will be more disappointed than the fans for serving that performance up.
Get a result on Sunday and things in the past will start to fade away.
I'm starting to come round, a bit like bren says. You hate them one week but by the middle of the week you can find positives and look forward to the next game.

| Get vastman a snickers quick cos he can be a right diva at times ( from experience) my opinion if it counts is stick by agar only 2 games gone and get behind him and the team instead of wasting energy slagging them off ,if it was say wigan and not bradford i dont think wakey fans would of had a response as were seeing, hes brought in good players and they will gel, maybe this thread should of been started if 10 games in and in the poop.

I have been accused of being "optimistic" before. Lol.
But the Bulls game has put us back as underdogs again for all games and we work better in those conditions.

No, and he was never going to be.
I was highly disappointed when he was announced and some of his decisions in games over the last 18 months have left me bemused.
The contract extension was a shortsighted decision.

| Quote ="lampyboy"I think agars done ok and ok only. We have never had a great squad to pick from. our top 8 season was because of the point deduction that bradford received, last season was no better.
Wakey fans expect to be a top club in the top 8 or even making the 4. Get a grip its going to be a battle for wakey to stay in SL, and the sooner you come to terms with it the better.
For as long as i can remember wakey have always shot themselves in the foot season after season. If it aint been the sale of a top player its been a full clear out or money problems'"
Disagree - I don't think Wakey fans expect top 8 or 4. We expect a relegation dog fight and for that reason alone expect a performance way above what we got against one of our relegation rivals.
The thread is about the coach and if he cannot pick / plan / organise the team to perform better than that (even considering all the problems) then hes not the man for the job.

| Ok, Vasty has suggested Glen Morrison, who would be a fair gamble.
But, who would we like at BV and who would be willing to take on the job
Personally, I think that, even if we were in a position to be able to change, we'd have as much chance of being worse of, as we would of improving.
Anyone remember Tony Smith or Peter Roe ??

Bit unfair on Peter Roe. He had to coach with both hands tied behind his back, with no money whilst being kicked in the nads. The bloke never stood a chance.

The point I was trying to make, was that, given our lowly status, who would want the job and that we are just as likely to end up with someone worse, as we would be with someone better.
Harbin did a great job, as did John Kear (someone I think could still do a decent job with the squad that we have).

| Hrbin was a horrible coach but great at PR hence the rosy opinions of him, remember some time back someone posted that he presided over the longest losing run in the clubs history.

| Any change would be a gamble, after two games I think it's an unnecessary one.
Taking a punt on a lower league coach or an odds on certainty like...Peter Gentle.

| Close the thread; the overwhelming majority of people have enough common sense to know that a discussion like this after 2 games is plain stupid.
Close the other one while you're at it!

Whilst the coach can't legislate for one off performances of Thursdays nature, he does have some responsibility for making sure that we don't keep seeing the same week in week out.

| If foxy and lyne had caught their passes at Salford we would have won the game
If sammut had got the ball down or a video ref decision went the other way against Bradford we would have won the game.
I wonder if people would be calling for a new coach if we were sat on 4 points right now, which could easily have been the case.
Changing coach at this stage would be madness

| Joke of a thread really off the back of one poor performance that wasn't that difficult to predict before, given the circumstances...
No, just another kneejerk reaction from the OP.....must have some bad stuff going on in his home life, as this comes not that long after him saying he wasn't having anything to do with the game anymore.....remember?
In fact it comes just over 5 weeks after posting this on the Hull board....
Quote ="vastman"Tbh Agar is the least of our problems
. Overall I think he's done a reasonable job for us under very difficult circumstances, but with P&R this will be his most testing season so far.'"
Quite a turnaround in thoughts on our coach, just off the back of one poor showing??
Think people need to realise we are not a top eight team!! Agar did tremendously well with what he had to get us into the top 8 that year.....better coaches may not have achieved that.....last season was maybe a touch disappointing....but looking at the whole bigger picture....his signings.....the respect he has from the players.....our overall league position under his coaching.....then think he's done a very good job with limited resources compared to the majority of teams in the league....
This season we should be a bottom 3 side....on resources, squad etc......far, far too early to write us off and sack a man doing (IMO) an excellent job after only 2 games....
The mind boggles at times....
