I've been supportive of FC having a young British coach for a while, up until a few months ago. I really wanted it to work out for Agar but for whatever reason it's not worked out.

No disrespect to your club at all, but I think the FC job is too big for him, the expectation levels have been raised, especially in light of Hull KR's improvement over the past 4/5 years. Our off the field operation is first class (Grade A licence etc), the only thing lacking is the on field product. Therefore we require a new coaching regime.

Given your league position and current situation, I'd say Agar could turn you into an 8th or 9th place team, but no higher. However I suppose this would be an improvement.

I can understand why he would not be a popular appointment but he would be a cheaper option than Noble.

You reckon do you, well it might have escaped your notice we being so humble compared to yourselves that we have actually been a top 8 side in recent years - so don't take this the wrong way but bog off and take Agar with you.

Arthur Bunting was a fabulous coach for you but I would say it's a backward step bringing him back - best stick with Agar and we will have to look elsewhere. Shame!

Like a lot of Hull fans, I'd love this to be true, but I can't honestly see why he would be a good option for you (then again he's not a good option for us and we did), unless it's about saving money. He can't get the best from players, nor get them up for games to punch above their weight, and he won't bring young players into the side if he can play players out of position or patched up and with painkilling injections instead. He also seems to want to sign as many backrowers as possible but play 3 for 80 minutes, his interchanges seem to be entirely random, and I suspect if he was ever asked about a Plan B during a game he'd say he'd left the CD in the car.

Other than that, he's not too bad.

I can only speak about their respective performances at Hull, but at least Kear had us up for games on a semi-regular basis, and tried to change things up if a game wasn't going our way. I'd sooner have neither, but if it was a choice between the 2 it would be Kear every time.

As an avid lifelong Wakey fan i'd like to implore our wonderful board to get this Agar chap signed up quick before Hull change their minds about letting him go. His achievements and ability to transform a poor team into world beaters speaks for itself and an opportunity like this cannot be allowed to simply slip through our fingers. Agar IN!
