This thread has got very petty and argumentative, so I will keep this straightforward for you Mr Cameron.
The application is contrary to National Planning Policy:
Planning Policy Statement 1 ‘Delivering Sustainable Development’
Planning Policy Guidance 2 ‘Green Belt’
Planning Policy Statement 4 ‘Planning for Sustainable Economic Growth’
Planning Policy Statement 5 ‘Planning and the Historic Environment’
Planning Policy Statement 7 ‘Sustainable Development in Rural Areas’
Planning Policy Statement 9 ‘Biodiversity and Geological Conservation’
Planning Policy Guidance 13 ‘Transport’
Planning Policy Guidance 17 ‘Planning for Open Space, Sport and Recreation’
Planning Policy Guidance 24 ‘Planning and Noise’
This application is contrary to the following policies within Wakefield Council's Core Strategy:
CS1 - Location of Development
CS5 - Community Facilities and Services
CS2 - Retail and Town Centres
CS8 - The Local Economy
CS11 - Leisure, Recreation and Open Space
Therefore, a public inquiry by an independent assessor is the only way that this application can be assessed correctly in terms of planning policies.
