Dont really see what ted having an IVA as got to do with wakey trin RLFC ... and to link players going is just crazy as the money never went into teds pocket it saved the concern (WTWC) money .. Yep it looks bad if you put the neg spin on it and of course some will as some will put a positive on it . but the plain fact off the matter is that ted Richardson is one man and by entering an IVA just might be the catalyst to actually save the club.

I've just had a word with the Head of our IVA team here and he says the following:

You can still be a director of a limited company and in an IVA. The only exception to this would be if the company's rules prevented this, but these could quickly and easily be changed with an Extraordinary General Meeting. Basically the person has 'ring fenced' his own finances from his businesses and set up a formal agreement to pay back over a fixed period. This means that his creditors cannot try to get payment from his company(ies).

As an outsider my first thoughts were that this guy has put everything, including his last penny, into your club to keep it where it is today and instead of lambasting him for it, you should be thanking him.

I'm sure there's a statistic somewhere that demonstrates that a disproportionate amount of entrepeneurs have been declared bankrupt (and are dyslexic!) at some time in their business lives - I guess it comes with the territory; business success depends on taking risks.

Furthermore, I can't imagine for a minute that for all his failings, Ted has been naive or daft enough to have WTW's finances tied up with his own; the club will no doubt be owned by a holding company or some other legal entity that limits liability. His IVA may bar him from being the Director of a company for a period of time, but that's easily got around and happens all the time.

So - whilst the timing of this leaked news does indeed serves to strengthen the perception that WTW is going down the pan, I'm not sure it really does mean that; the IVA could very well be a strategy that Ted and his advisors have entered into proactively, as TRB has alluded to.

I still believe that the club is run on a woefully amateurish basis, but this news doesn't make me feel any more depressed about the future than I already was; now it's out in the open though, I strongly agree that the club should issue a statement - perception is, after all, reality!

It may sound daft, but in some ways it's almost a relief. Now we know exactly where we stand, or almost. I agree that some comment from the club would be helpful.

TRB asI posted on an earlier thread I do not see why you are again giving the club's side of the story when it is certainly not your job to do this.If the bod do not put out a statement themselves then I think that they will go down in everyone's respect and at the moment that can do nothing but but bring more damage to the club and would to me show that the bod have no respect whatso ever for their loyal band of supporters.

We all support the team, me, you, everyone on here does, thats why this situation hurts like hell. I however have had enough this season, I am done from here on in. I hope that I find my mojo for the game again, but for me that will be next season, I just dont like wasting my time, and before any comments about loyalty, I have done the rounds for the past 31 years from the age of 14, with the exception of the 10 years I spent in the Army, I have attended most home and away games, its just getting harder for some reason..

you do realise that probably more than one share holder will be suffering a hard time at the moment .
