I am entitled to my opinion, just as much as you are, you may think I'm negative, I may think your an apologist for ted and his croanies!! We are both entitled to our views.
My earlier point was that we fail to manage our club proffesionaly, this is proved consistently time after time, therefore in my opinion the club is run by muppetts!!

We are indeed both entitled to opinions. No problem at all with that.

Where we differ is that whilst I appreciate that the club could be run better, I do accept that there are folk there who have worked a small miracle for us to even have a club at all. The all-encompassing issues that we get bogged down with on here are but minute compared to the real and relevant dangers involved in running a professional sports club. Even premiership football sides are struggling in these trying times.

But - we MUST have our shirts when and where we want 'em and for failing to have them we MUST burn someone at the stake. It couldn't possibly be any fault other than our own staff - could it!

it's not that we MUST it's that we should, it should have been in the wakey exp, it should have been in the league exp, nobody thought to just stick it on the website aswell. It's another example of cluelessness, that no other club in SL seems to show.
I don't know ted from Adam, so I have no personal axe to grind, but we are just a rudderless ship, he may have once been our saviour, but everything has it's sell by date, and enoughs, enough!! If you can no longer be part of the solution you are part of the problem!
We are putting our club at risk by running it in such a shambollic "amaturish" way, that's not the current economic climate it is just sound common sense.
Ok we can't do everything that the bigger clubs can do, but we don't do what we can anywhere near well enough, and that is just putting us further back down the track, and in the modern "proffesional" sporting world, that is suicide!!!

The majoritu of your posts have been reasonable - but this one is so far off the mark to be ludicrous.

Ted is the ONLY answer we have - end of!

Being the backer / chairman of a RL club is a mugs game - people only do it for love of the game - certainly not for the financial rewards. Ted is the ONLY man who can get us out of BV and give us a future for the next generation.

Shirts / whatever, it's a part of what the club does - but not the be-all and end-all. Has it ocurred to you that by offering the press the first opportunity to show the kit could possibly enhance your relationship with that publication? No - you just want it all now!

By all means criticise the club to your hearts content, but please try and consider what others have to deal with. I know none of us are saints - but we ALL try and some have to deal with the real world - not just the cyber one!

So the ploy of selling the away one before christmas and the home one after hasnt come to fruition ?

Did they listen to us? or do they know think this is the better option?

Not deluded at all. I will back those who back my club.

But, for now, there is NO doubting that Ted is the ONLY person who can save this club for the benefit of Wakefield. The whole deal for the new ground is his - and his alone.

You may well be right about the outside investment - but there are plenty who would use Ted as an excuse not to put the money in that they were never going to in the first place.

The place is not 'unprofessional just because you don't agree with something they do / don't do. It can ALWAYS be better - but that is my club you are rubbishing!

Has he been offered money for the club and if so was it less than he wanted, again I don't know, do you??
An open question to all, how much would you pay for a business, with twivyears left on the lease, no assets and a debt with the tax man!! How much will the Wrexham consortium have paid for the crusaders franchise, I guess we won't ever find out, but I bet it's not big bucks??

incorrect! I am passing comment on the abilitys or inabilitys on the people charged (by themselves) with running the club, I have stated I do not know ted, therefore it is not a personal attack on him or his character, you may take it as you will.
Taking personalities and people out of the equation, do you think our club is being run proffesionally? I don't! And therefore I am entitled to air my views as I see fit on this forum, I do not beg your support nor do I think that anyone is really bothered of mine, however the purpose of this forum is for us to debate what is irking us at whatever time we feel the need to vent it!

I'd you don't want to be responsible, you don't have to do it!

I'm not suggesting that you don't know your onn line of work - you are clearly intelligent and articulate - I am suggesting that that most people do not work in the goldfish bowl that is a professional sports club, which will have it's own challenges - of which most of us know little. But, rather than knock them for stuff which may, or may not, be within the clubs control.

FWIW I think we should congratulate the club on not giving us a Kooga shirt (they're awful this year), and for giving us THE best shirts in SL in 2010. Now that's a result!

I agree wholeheartedly, they should be very proud of a) doing something a bit different in regards to using this supplier, and of course a local supplier, and b) bringing out two shirts I genuinely want, santas gonna have to rummage arround a bit harder this year!!!!
As for criticism, it comes with the territory, we will all never agree, that's what makes sport so appealing to so many, weather it's a disputed goal, a forward pass or, poor refereeing or in this case clubs not being run in the way, acceptable by a group or individual.
My closing point on this one, is, just because ted was there when we needed him once, it does not mean that he must always be the right man, times change, circumstances change. What must remain is Wakefield trinity, and if that future is better secured by people stepping aside then that is what is in the best interest of our club, and that is my view.
I don't have the answers, but I know that if you head too far down a blind alley, it can be very difficult to get out.

As for Ted - he is getting on a bit (when he reads this I'm in bother) and won't be here forever - but he does, imo, have the ability to make the stadium happen - and I don't think there's a man on the planet who could have done more in the past 12 months to accelerate us from a standing, or retreating start, to where we are now. On that basis he is the man for now and for the near future, but sooner or later we will require new leadership - wherever that comes from.

Ted himself will tell you that he is a steward of the club and that the club belongs to the City of Wakefield (not the council though!)
