Let's keep this one about Trinity. We can discuss the Cas takeover on the Other Club Discussion thread so it doesn't get confusing.

I think a director of rugby is a must if and when the takeover goes through.

Someone who understands rugby league and someone who is experienced in order to steer the club into a new direction be that recruitment, contracts, agents etc.

Best we've had was Kath Hetherington. Strong character, knew her stuff. Wasn't bothered about being popular.

Kear is /was pretty good too.

Steve Ferres put some squads together on an absolute shoe string for us, too.

I think this kind of role would be perfect for someone like Richard Agar.

Two and a half weeks since the last statement was posted, and I think it was expected to be around a 4 week process.

Having said that, I'm sure there was one before that.

I was hoping we'd see it ticked off before our next league game.

They do say, however, that patience is a saintly virtue.

Fingers crossed, that everything is going through OK.

Silence is deafening about this takeover- I hope our potential new owner isn’t put off by the likes of Stevo!

Due diligence just takes time unfortunately. Not always in your control.

Do not think so If they take over hope it is a clean out of choaches and 90% of the players. And we get some one in who knows how to put a good team together

The first one to go should be the self appointed Football Manager based on their complete failure in what the post involves, then the coach he appointed and despite the odd games he has overseen the worst season in our 25 years in SL.

Leave them to it I guess. When there’s something to announce it will be. As it stands we are seeing dramatic improvement under current ownership. So long as that continues then I’ll be a happy fan for now.

Whether a full take over happens is in the hands of the accountants/solicitors now, but even if it doesn’t come to fruition this new guy must have invested a wad of money already. Considering we had no cash to lay out we’ve seen Fifita, Gale, the two French guys and now possibly Griffin all added to the ranks.

A Few players have left including Taufua who won’t have been in peanuts , How much influence the incoming owner can have on current precedings is unknown as you’d think until the ink is dry he has apart from being able to sponsor players no powers at the club as of yet .

As I understand it, he has given £200k in sponsorship, purely to help with the end of season 'Great Escape'.
Not reliant on the takeover.

That money has been used to bring in the likes of Griffin and the French lads, and also to pay off the players that had to leave.

Given how Cas are struggling to get players in, and now Turner being a long term injury, that £200k is an absolute saviour.

Heads of terms agreed 5 weeks ago, best case 4 week due diligence period, must be almost over their line by now.

Think it will be when East Stand done .that M C and J M will go Know some fans will be glad to see the back of them .But the difference is they have not just talked about a ground ,fit for S L like a lot of the Chairman we have had .They have built one ,All I can say is a big thanks and.left the club in a good place, The Hospitality in the new stand will have 250 tables in, will bring in 250,000 pounds a season and with weddings social events even more .So if you want to help club get some tables bought.We could have a few for people who are in the fans forum .Guess we would have plenty to talk about or should that be some argument to sort out lol The thing is we do it because we care about the club So really we are all in it together.

Now he's given some money for the relegation battle it's probably not as urgent.

I guess we'll just have to sit tight a bit longer.

He's certainly is doing as much as he can right now, to in trying to retain our super league status.

Wonder if anything will be announced this week.
