You can ask us fans to come attend the games now there's no richardson's, now there's a fresh feel at the club, now you need us more than ever.

Most of us on here will do that, the floating supporters will not come to see us get tonked every week.. Plain & Simple.

As we all know, we are missing, like you say a play maker and a couple of props, where we get those from, is anyone's guess. We need to find a few players wanting a chance to play in the SL, whether that's from the lower league or the NRL, but it's a tricky task.

By the sounds of it we just need a bit more creativity an if the effort remains we will be a half decent team, we just need somebody out there who can do something special and give us that cutting edge close to the opponents line.

You also dont know what players have turned us down because Kear is coach.
His coaching methods are outdated.
His selection policies are unfathomable.
Hes indecisive.


JK is way past his sell by date and is only sticking around to get paid for the last year of his contract.

The club may be on a firm financial footing now,but im afraid to say the crowds will dip dramatically as the season progresses thus income will reduce.

Many people will quite simply not pay to watch the Kear brand of rugby,its boring and depresses the hell out of you.

Afraid Mr Glover has a tricky problem to sort:

How do i keep the crowds turning up and balance the books
Invest in new players(if available) for probably our last season in Super League?
I cant see this happening - too much outlay required to make a marked improvement.
Or change the coach - less outlay required,for one with more modern methods and one that is willing to play a brand of rugby that at least excites.

Nothing forges spirit like adversity. If we can keep these young lads fit and get some size and experience to bolster them we could see a decent team - I know it doesn't come naturally to fans, but we need to be patient and supportive.

Get off his back, he's using what he's got as best he can. I'd love to see what he could do with money and a class squad - a squad like the one we had at the start of last season!

Couldn't knock the effort of the team today but lacking in taking the line on and in the opposition 20. If we can grow this team I think we will have a good outfit there are some quality lads in the team but inexperienced at this level.

When Kear was able to build a good squad he took us to 5th in the league and we were top 4 material until we had to dismantle the squad by selling Brough and getting rid of Tronc.

The young players we have will improve as the season goes on as they adapt to superleague but theres no doubt we need another two or three older heads to help out. Where we get them from, or whether they'd come, is another matter though. And the more other teams pick up injuries the less likely it is to happen.

Bradford were simply too strong for us. In patches we looked quite good, alas we lacked creativity and certainly a kicking game but there wasn't much between the two sides. We must however bolster the forwards if we are to compete.

George played well, Korkidas too and Griffin looked solid enough. The word for us is potential, we just need to mix that with experience and size

Did he use Harvey the best he could?

Was it best to select Smith against Salford - then virtually admit what a gaff that was,by not including him in the squad the week after.

Or maybe the squad when he had Drew and Brough etc.. in the same squad,when he had no idea what his best line up was.

Or maybe when he decides the best use of a winger is to put him on the bench.
Or maybe when he picks a fullback on the bench but doesnt bother with an interchange hooker.
Or maybe when he selected Paul Cooke week after week after week of crap performances.

He had money at Hull and they sacked him.

Plenty of young coaches with knowledge of modern coaching techniques are out there.
My personal choice at this time would be Warren Jowitt.

I wont get off his back until hes gone.
His coaching ability is garbage and our young players havent and will not develop under him.
He showed his colours last year and was desparate for a move to Catalans,it didnt happen so he continues to be on our wage bill.

That is probably our first pick team in JK's eyes. Other than Dean, Johnson, Mariano, Gledhill & Howarth theres plenty of superleague experience in that team, even Murphy & George have played 70 games between them. Our problem is more the players we have are not good enough.

We may have a team of kids and odd balls with a smattering of decent players but they are OUR team and if they continue to do there best i'll support them all the way, fantastic effort today, we may lack skill and size maybe but they are all heart.

What a stupid mistake by Morrison. Decides to try and do a forward roll over the line in celebration and drops the ball. Majority of wakey fan's blame the ref. How does that happen?!

Beaten in the pack today, it was literally men against boys and it showed. I hope you manage to get some recruits in before too long because it won't do your young guys any good getting battered for the next 20 odd SL rounds.

Too true the lads need some help and fast and i'm sure the clubs doing what it can, untill then they'll soldier on.

I'm not talking about fan's t the opposite side of the pitch. I'm talking about fan's stood directly behind the post's where it happened.

Penny would have done a lot better had th pass not been 5yrds in front of him. Lee's passing was terrible. Never to the 'bread basket'.

He knocked on, did not see it myself but all those around me agreed.

Did we manage to get through without picking up any more injuries? With BJ, King, Blaymire, Dean & Tony out we are down to the bare bones, can't afford to lose anymore.

We were certainly out-muscled in the pack today, as predicted. However, the single biggest difference was our inability to finish - we got to their line with relative ease on a number of occasions, but made poor choices on the last tackle.

The score line in the end flatters them a bit; if Morro and Veivers hadn't had respective brainfarts, Penny had gathered that pass and the ref understood the double movement rule, things would look very different.

In the end I saw no lack of effort and a lot of potential; I concur however that we desperately need a couple of big forwards and an experienced SH.
