Think he’s exclusively played wing other than the odd one. Hall has been a shining light so maybe right centre. Will be very interesting to see how we use him. I’ve always been a big fan of playing players in their correct position (unless there’s a better alternative).

Not having a go at you, but there's been a "popular" theme amongst some that the club haven't been active e.g. when everyone else seemed to be getting players and we weren't, esp. props.

These things DON'T tend to be particularly quick, certainly not "overnight" jobs - the club will have been working on this for a period.

If we do get Taufua, that's potentially a very exciting signing.

Just watch some video highlights. Christ I wouldn't want to be receiving the ball if he's lurking nearby. Looks like a really exciting player to watch and that just defensively. Might get into a bit of trouble with his technique though.

He is a classy player Taufua, really surprised we’ve been able to attract him as the Roosters were after him last year. He has an incredible try scoring ratio in the NRL and his defence obviously speaks for itself. Comparing this signing to the likes of Lineham and Gaskell is off the Richter scale and shows we mean business to stay in SL. A big well done to the club if we get this over the line.

Mouth watering prospect if we can close the deal and get him over pronto , will certainly shut the perennial moaners up and add some steal to our attack and defence

If we get him & if he plays like that SL players will take exception with fighting following ! Aussie's play on + our refs & disciplined
Video of games will charge him !

He’s a human highlight reel and whilst predominantly a winger he has played centre too.

He will be a real handful and should get our sets off to a good start with his strong carries and quick play the balls.

Obviously the concern is his injury record but he’s probably worth the risk. He will become a fan favourite but he does have the odd brain fart in him.

Just wish we could have got him in and up to speed for Toulouse but he will be a boost to the squad whenever he arrives.

His injury record is the only reason we are in with a shout.

I am just started watching his first game back in two years against Melbourne. I wouldn’t expect much after such a long absence but he does generally appear to be well liked by the Manly club and obviously famous for his ferocious tackling prior to his last injury.

I've seen Taufua play live many times and at his best he is an animal, both in defence and as a try scorer

Should this lad arrive the equation is a simple one.

He’s had an injury which he appears to have recovered from.

Bill had an injury he couldn’t recover from.

Hence this guy or almost any current overseas player is a vast improvement.

If he stays fit and fits in he’s a win win.

Worst defence in the league, 2nd worst attack. Let's hope this guy if he comes does the business, he looks good in what I've seen of him, and if he turns out to be anything like Bill for the first 3 or 4 years, he'll do for me.

I bet 'Tash would be glad if we got him rather than playing against him with some of the Red X balls he gets from MIlky....

Of course any player can and do pick up life changing/playing injuries, but the rigours of the NRL will certainly punish you more than playing in super league. You’ve only to watch how they bash each other to wonder how they walk away from some of the collisions . If Taufua does make it to Belle Vue he’ll have been through rigorous Testing on his injury before he could pull a shirt on again and be deemed fit for purpose . What we’ll get if it comes off is a players that’s played at the highest level in our sport and may well have had his nose shoved out whilst he’s been on the sidelines , snooze and you lose so to speak . Hopefully what we’ll get is a cut priced diamond who will lead us on the front foot and take the game to the opposition for many a year .

I see on his wiki page it says he has signed a short term deal with perennial wooden spoonists Wakefield Trinity!!

He's had more than one, he's had 3 majorish ones' including an acl, so there has to be some risk attached, but let's hope he has more of an impact than say Pauli Pauli, 'cause i remember people getting pretty excited after seeing youtube clips of him.

Well the bit about being perennial wooden spoonists is wrong because we have never been so in the SL era however to call us perennial strugglers is far more accurate in the recent past.
