Still no resolution to the Brighouse Rangers U14s disciplinery issue so Sandal Spartans will have to wait and see.

Eastmoor Under 12’s held their end of season presentation evening last night. Congratulations to all the team who all received their individual trophies as a reward for putting in a great deal of effort into training and matches over the last 15 months – well done all. Now for a well deserved break to recharge the batteries and come back stronger next season.
Danny Kirmond was guest of honour to present the awards and judging by his Twitter page below really enjoyed himself. Danny came and did a training session for the under 12’s back in August and is a real credit to the Wildcats for the way he conducts himself both on and off the pitch. Much appreciated.

siddal were simply too good. We gave them an almighty first half but they just kept comming and in the end were too big and strong. No shame in the score for our boys it is just siddals time to shine

Sandal 16 v 26 Drighlington

The Spartans were fast asleep during the first half (again) and went in 0 - 16 down at half time.

A better second half offered some hope and the game was in the balance at 16 - 22 but a break away try 2 minutes from time ended any hopes of completing the comeback.

It's been a whirlwind 15 months for the team, after forming with just 7 players only 4 of which had ever played any form of Rugby we've ended with a squad of 22.

That squad has been put together with players, 18 of which are completely new to Rugby (League or Union). We've managed to win the fifth division, in the short season, with 3 games in hand. We've been promoted to the fourth division winning our first 4 games by massive landslides and were consequently moved up to the second division wher we eventualy finished 3rd (5pts clear of 4th) after hecticaly catching up the other teams who had payed four fixtures before we even got started.

The players reached the Continuation Cup Final and we reached the BARLA Yorkshire Cup Quarter Finals.

Most importantly we established a new Amateur Rugby League Club in Wakefield and now we are recruiting for next years U13s & U12s as well as looking to beef up our pack at U14s.

A well earned break coming up!

Sounds like 1 hell of a match up which I knew this would be
. The Allrounders must really now have their tails up.
I trust as always 100% respect will be paid to them as every
team wants the record and to beat the current trophy holders

The cup run has been great for us, 8-10 ish weeks ago we lost 5 on the run and lost some players, since then we have taken them back to basics and started to bring in some structure to our play. For the most part the players have responded excellently and the recent results have reflected this, we have also picked up a few new players who were too late to sign on so next year hopefully will be better due to a bigger squad.

For me junior rugby is about making each child a bit better each week and ensuring they enjoy the whole experience, winning is a close second to this but is definately second ( dont watch me on a match day though im exciteable )

I am a huge Cas fan but believe the Wakefield service area is second to none in the world for producing young players,this is largely due to each and everyone who helps out at junior level and the passion the folk have for the game inside our district.

Going to be a good final Siddall v West Hull in the U12's

Well last year I do think BARLA put it in as a gap filler between 2 "BIG" games . yes a stop gap , agrab a pie and a pint , go for a wee n stuff . grab your brolly from your car and a warm up for the Big Main Event that was the last match that is now lost on me.

What followed hower was something that stole all the headlines onhere , the "best match of the entire weekend" was being thown around all over the place .
and the staff at wakefield and others were double happy . a great tourniment over a super weekend with the talk of the weekend being a wakefield up and coming club as Crigglestone Scraped A win.

Since that match Crigglestone have not been beaten and nither have East Hull the only thing that as changed is that they are 13 and due to a very very nice draw here we are at the BARLA finals 1 year on

today Easts beat Wests in what I presume would of been a tight derby 10-24 i think ish
and crigg once again put 40 away without reply but the test will come on final day as Easts will surley be up not just for the cup but for some east yorkshire pride.

i can not wait if you can get to the junior barla finals , im sure more news on time and dates will follow.

i first hear hull kr due to it being over in wakefield last year BUT. Im now hearing the fellas at fev.

It should be a good final at fev between easts vs crigg the two best sides in there respective leagues.
