I was extremely impressed Jodie Broughton on the left wing for Hull at the weekend.

Despite a couple of costly errors, which are easily fixed with good coaching and greater experience, he had a marvellous game.

He is obviously surplus to requirements at the Rhinos and while Hull seem to have their foot in the door already he seems to be up for grabs.

He looks extremely quick, almost catching Danny Brough, he demonstrated a very high instinctive understanding of wing play which is often glaringly absent in many many wingers.

He's young and he's English and I for one would applaud the club if they chased his signature.

Yes i agree, he did cock up but also did some good work for them, young, english, and worth a shot.

I would be more than happy for the club to have a look at this player.

I agree but if it came down to it who would you prefer we sign, Broughton or Halley?

We signed a big name winger when we didnt need one the other season don't forget.

Good point, however George and Murphys natural positions are centre, whether they will end up playing in that position who knows? Would also say it could also depend on the future of Martin and Atkins at the club. Halley would be a good addition as he could also play full back so he wouldn't have to be signed as an out and out winger.

whilst Ive just encourage the support of Matt Peterson on another thread I am anticipating his departure in the not too distant future.

Murphy has been used almost exclusively as a winger so far many people see his long-term future as a centre. The same can be said of Luke George.

When fit Damien Blanch is our number one winger just about everybody else including Scott Grix is a utility player. Also every single one of our recognised wingers has been injury prone which has resulted in our having to field players out of position on the wing. I would therefore suggest that we need to sign an out and out recognised winger preferably English and preferably young.

completely agree but again it depends on cash and which position/player we may have to forego to make the signing. as for the player himself he did look like someone worth a punt, quick and lively
