| Quote ="Luppylad"Cant faul his attitude , effort and defence which makes him likeable but his attack can be somwhat lacking and a bit of a worry for me for me .jowitt to be fair played 95% of his games at fb and the difference shaul made and the amount who wanted us to sign shaul kind of says it all.that said i hope they both have best seasons of there lifes'"
The amount shouting for Shaul was very much a handful of people on here. Most are very little difference in the two including the coaching team who clearly feel Jowitt is good enough to be the full back. I prefer Jowitt to Shaul who is good in organising defence but blunt in attack and a bit suspect under the bombs.

| Quote ="Big lads mate"Jordan has had to come through quite a few knock backs in his career but Willy showed faith with him and now Mark. Whilst switching from hooker and 13 most games I thought his distribution was as good as a number 9 without the scoots, he got criticised for putting his hand up and playing out of his normal position by people on here, a position which I think is the hardest on the field. I’ve spoken to many parents who’s kids are on scholarship about the ups and downs of a young kid hoping to get to SL and the dedication required from the lads and especially their parents. Parents with lads on scholarship need to hold back with negatives about others because take it from me, their lad will get it at some time if the get to the elite level and it’s not nice but comes with the territory. This coming season will be his tenth year at Wakefield and with Mark awarding him with the vice captaincy, which makes us proud parents might I say, he hopefully can play in a position he likes the most, fingers crossed. I’m sure he’d play any position if asked if it helped Wakefield .'"
Can’t fault Jordan’s commitment and don’t think any fan would. I’m sure he bleeds RWB. I wasn’t convinced on whether he would be out long term solution at Loose a couple of years ago. That said last year did convince me that he is exactly what we need in a 13 now and in the future. He clearly developed physically this past 2 seasons and that has certainly helped his game. I also think although not a natural 9 it has helped him in his attacking/link up game and will benefit him in the 13 position. I’m really looking forward to seeing Jordan and Max hitting their best years as rugby professionals. I’m very glad it’s with trinity too. The C and VC Is a good choice.
A lot of people (including me) have some concerns over who’s coming in BUT what will make the difference in transitioning Wakefield trinity to contenders is likely more going to be influenced by players like Crowther/Jowitt/Kershaw and the like showing continual improvement in their games as years progress.

I totally agree with you and others about 2 or 3 seasons ago, but that was due to him loosing 2years of development being sent out on loan by previous coaches, that’s history and so is the coach, he can move onwards and upwards now.

I still rated him a few years ago but more as a squad option. I see him now as a starting player. Most forwards aren’t really ready for week in week out superleague till mid 20s or just before anyway. I’m just looking forward to the season in general next season and I think their will be an air of positivity about the club.

| Jordy Crowther top lad every club needs a lad like him. Past players of a similar ilk from the local area are Bell and Slater.

Dont think theres any criticism of jordan think most on here are happy with where hes at personally think hes a great choice as vice and if tash leaves id be more than happy to see him as captain theres certainly no one wants to win more than him as for negatives i see you think thats a negative but the best players on the planet have some negatives and no player is perfect at everything and your right swapping and changing and loans cant help i actually like him at 9 think in the games what are tight in first 20 mins and are tough battles hes great to have there for his defence and workrate and i remember trys he assited straight from the ruck and as for running how often did cammy smith run not much

There’s definitely a link with Proctor and Taufua for big Marty to come play for us. Although I don’t believe he’s had the best WC personally, I feel he’d be a great addition

Sadly PC Amos is a tragic victim of Putins pointless war.
Apart from being the worlds largest supplier of grain and sunflower oil, almost all teeth whitening kits are produced in the Ukraine. So although on the forum this shouldn’t matter he’s decided to pull back from all public appearances.
He still wishes to thank his sponsor Colgate for funding the resistance to the yellow toothed Russians troglodytes.

| Matthew Shaw has announced that there will be a Super League transfer story coming up sometime this afternoon and with many clubs finished up in terms of recruitment I'm hoping it's one for us!

| Wonder if we were interested in Mago.
Would have been a decent impact prop from bench. Isn’t their questions over the minutes he puts in though.
Great signing for Fev though if they’ve pulled that off. Perhaps we have already used our quota spots.

We haven't used them, unless some signing have been made but not announced, 3 out in Fifita, Miller,Tinny, with only Proctor coming in as it currently stands
Nothing yet confirmed with Mago.

I still believe Mago will be at Trinity if Wigan can get the replacement they have identified.
Losing Bateman opens up a marquee spot and it appears they have missed out on Thompson and Warea Hargreaves is now the main target meaning they will need to open a quota spot.

That's probably fair however this time he hasn't seemed to speculate, rather state that it's happened. We'll see I guess, far too good for the Championship.
