Warrington apparently had players missing - so did we of course but that doesn't count in press reports - but they still had enough quality on the pitch to do the job, but they weren't allowed to. Our defence was superb.
For once the pack, I thought, was dominant. Fifita had his best game for ages and Eddie Battye had a great game, but the outstanding one in the pack for me was Pitts. He's been a very shrewd signing.'"
Again press make it out to be a week Wires team ,Well to me all there big hitters were on the park ,.We were playing our second string centres ,who both went well .Makes you wonder how some of these top coaches would go on with a budget like ours.

No for me.millers job is to provide scoring opportunities which he doesnt do constantly.we dont exactly score alot of tries do we yes fantastic result today really proud of the lads but we only created 2trys (one great one)2 of them where given to us and despite a 20 pts lead with 15 to go we held on to win by goalkicks
And watch the game back from last week when we where in control ryan was doing most of kicking and forcing errors and making hudds turn there backs then the ball started going to miller and he was kicking down there throats and giving them easy ball return and the game started to change.im not knocking him esp his effort but our most consistent player is joe or jay by far'"
We just have a fantastic win - against all odds and you are still moaning ffs.
1-17 were excellent and thoroughly deserved the victory. It would have been an absolute travesty if they'd have won.

They will still have had a salary cap busting side out there. Widdop, Austin, Williams and Hill will take care of a huge chunk of the salary cap.

In any normal season the list would be two or three max, some years none!
Truth is there are too many in that list to all get through, it’s not a talent issue it’s a balance issue.
All the same it’s a record crop of talent and I just hope it’s not wasted. I’d hope to see at least four or five of those lads as regulars by 2023.

| Yes. I don't mind him playing shorter minutes than the other middles but Ayden has to play every game now.
We are unlikely to go down so the risk is minimal but equally he's holding his own anyway. Good time to develop.

| One thing that was quite funny yesterday for anyone behind the posts in the bar or boxes was the coaching team.
When Wolves got their roll on, Applegarth and Lyne both came on telling the players not to panic. The problem was you could hear the panic in their voice.
Not quite Dad's Army but it got progressively higher pitched with every try.
It was interesting seeing who stepped up.
Westerman and Pitts were tge clear leaders.
Both talking sense and keeping the team together. Lino was certainly revving them up too.
Was nice to see.

Some people think I pick on this poster and I suppose I do to a degree. But truth is I just don’t get the motivation or the logic. I don’t get why he even bothers as oddly I believe he does actually attend games.
I don’t expect rose tinted but to this poster every game is lost and every player rubbish before kick off.
Mostly I just want to challenge his negativity but this Miller thing has really go my goat because it’s unfair and plain in accurate.
Miller is a limited player, he knows that and we know it. He lack the ability to run a game, if he had it he’d be a star in the NRL
However 99% of SL players have limitations and Miller is one of the better ones. He’s become our most consistent player who leads from the front in every game. He struggles when asked to do things he’s not good at, that is poor coaching.
Miller is first on the team sheet for me because you know what you will get and so long as you don’t overburden him he will go fine.
Lastly said poster never manages a credible alternative. He can’t because both Lino and Hampshire also have flaws.
It’s a team game and so long as those three know there jobs they can cover each other’s weaknesses. That’s how it has to be unless Luppy can unearth a few million the club didn’t know it had.

Not sure if it’s possible but I think it’d be quite fitting if Poptart could get you a little award sent out. “Vastman - The big bad bully of RLFans”

Ive had that award since 2002, it’s not true but I can live with it. Rule is simple, you make strident comments you get strident comments back. I myself have been a victim of my own hubris, you live with it.

| I thought the first half was the best half of Rugby I have seen us play for a long time. We controlled the ball brilliantly for 30 minutes, the players were all on the same page. We gave very few penalties away, any 6 agains were on first tackle. It was great to watch, then in the final 10 minutes there were a couple of errors that gave Warrington good field position and our defence was first class. The whole team were great but just wanted to note that Arundel and Walker were just great. their decision making was just great and the their aggression in defence was impressive. My man of the match was Arundel, for me the best centre we have. The second half saw a hugely talented Warrington team throw the kitchen sink at us, they had nothing to lose, and our boys came out winners. I don't think it was a fitness thing, we stuck at it, we scrambled and there were some brilliant individual efforts ; Pitts desperate tackle on Williams who looked clear, Yudin somehow getting to Ratchford, Arundel just getting an ankle tackle on the young Warrington live wire hooker. A great win, a great match, a top performance also from the ref and his colleagues, a much needed boost for players, club and fans.

It looks like Miller has avoided a ban for the cannon-ball tackle that he got penalised for yesterday as it looks like the only ones banned this week are Tommy Makinson, Matt Costello and Rhyse Martin ??

He is already an international…for Turkey, played against Malta over in Australia a couple of years back.
I just think with him and some of the others coming through we need to be patient and not build them up too much. I think the club is doing a great job with him just slowly bringing him through and exposing him to first team rugby at a realistic pace. I think the loan spell at York did him the world of good too even though it was only brief.
I’d say longer term he is an ideal replacement for Arona.
I think his best position will probably be as a 13 playing as an extra middle forward.
Hard work beats talent 90% of the time and he certainly has the ability and work ethic to have a good career in SL.

Was looking round before kick off thinking how many gaps there were in the crowd.
That was probably the only down side.
There were plenty of “regulars” in the North Stand that I’ve seen for the last god knows how many years that were absent which was a shame given the nature of the game on the field.
A good showing against Cas and I’d hope to break 5.5k for Leeds on the Bank Holiday Monday.
