We haven't a club to dual reg with? And no championship club can cover super league wages?

They should bring back the U21's never been a lover of the dual reg thing, but understand there is a cost to running what is effectively a reserve team like U21's

In all fairness DC this is a rugby league forum and I think its fair game to pass comment on the ability of players providing it sticks to that. I also think its OK for humble supporters to express their views on such matters even if they are not a coach or have never made a living out of playing.. We pay to watch so why can't we have our say ?

Last but not least Vince Mellors had contract length the same as Foxy and we got out of that so it can done.

I'm ok with Foxy. His mistakes are more evident than most others because of his position but on balance he gives the team a lot.
He doesn't let 2 tries in for every 1 he scores as some say.
Comparing his mistakes to his try rate is not a fair comparison.
His work getting us off our own try line is up there with the best which in the long run saves tries by relieving pressure or saves the forwards work so they can do the hard work in the middle or often sets up our next attack.

He's not perfect but I'd rather work on fixing up his frailties than knocking his confidence further.
He isn't guaranteed a place but we haven't got any better right now.

I'm not against passing comment. I've always been open to solutions I may not have seen. Hence why I asked the question.
I will defend the players we have though. And if he's good enough for Danny k, he's good enough for me.
And we'd get about 20% of a players wage in loan payments. When you have a thin squad to start with, I think this is a very risky call.

I am not for packing off players, but I will stick to my assertion that he is fallible and was poor for much of last season.

Irrespective of personal opinions this is an important season when club/clubs may be relegated, so let's back all the blokes who pull the shirt on.

Sums it up well for me. Foxy would certainly start forme his enthusiasm and commitment to the team is unquestionable. Any player can lose their way a bit but most come good - looking forward to seeing him score tries again. Merry xmas all!

Think we have been over this topic about Fox being vulnerable under the bomb too much.
Simple solution is to give him more protection and don't leave him isolated.
Get bodies around him to put off the chases.

Peter is a Wakefield player and can score tries IF he works really hard on his frailties he can be a big asset. We cant afford to get rid of him so he needs to work really hard!! Good Luck to all the squad in 2014, we might need it

Foxys a decent player first few games he was excellent. Needs a centre to talk to him defensivly and will be fine. Practice his weakness under high kick and if he naiks that all well and good, hes a wakey player so we need to get behind him. Give him confidence and he will shine

Great post, not enough communication and confidence with the centre and winger, aka Collis and Fox may be hurting his game.

Fox like all our other players should be getting our full support and I'm sure will be ok this next season.

Not sure about the Turkey comment in relation to his stats which acknowledged his errors but highlighted that his defence wasn't as bad as others plus he was one of the top try scorers.

Season before he had 50% of the errors than last season think his problem last season was when he had a poor game he had a really poor game. As an outside back it's also even more noticeable if out of position of having a brain fart under a bomb. It's the coaches call but if Fox goes off the boil then I'm sure it'll be addressed.

If he can maintain the form of 2011-2012 where he 25 missed tackles (tackle per game as an 80 minute player) and 16 errors over the course of the entire season but score a similar number of tries as last season that'll do for me as it's a lot less than other super league wingers.
