I genuinely can't remember a consistent period of "Enjoying" our team. It's been 5 years of waiting for the inevitable.

If we want to bounce back, the work to do so needs to begin or, to have begun already and it wont be easy.

Of course it does but fans writing the club and team off for the championship already and saying the club won’t survive etc isn’t reality it’s doom and gloomsrs. There’s some incredibly pessimistic fans on this board and while they may see themselves as realists they’re over that line into pure pessimism in my book.


Nobody said it will be easy, nobody has said we don’t need to face reality but the club must build and prepare for 2024 and should be given the chance to do so with support from the fans.

Some fans are more interested in trying to throw mud at the club owners and are calling out other fans for trying to get behind the team in these last few weeks. What classy fans we have. Some on this thread still more interested in trying to score points against other fans.

Where did I say we didn’t need to start planning for next season? Reality will be faced whether we like it or not.

I am more interested in what we need to do preparing for 2024 than the mud throwing and sniping that continues to bore on from select fans. Those same fans who are now calling out fans for trying to support their team. It’s the lowest of the low.

This season is all but gone and focus should be going straight to 2024 for certain. That’s what I am interested in talking about.

We are at a point which isn’t fantastic but we norms need to see how things unfold as you say and discuss this off-season our preperation for 2024. If it’s Ellis then great but if it doesn’t happen then I would like to see how the current owners are going to approach 2024.

First priority is hopefully to sign s handful of this years squad up who would add to a successful championship squad in 2024. We may know for certain after the Leigh game if the SL dream is over.

I agree. Time to look forward.
Try and keep the good ones and young ones with potential, clear out the crap.
Take better advise on overseas signings and work the new stand for every penny its worth.

hello everybody. what a sad day ,I have been a trinity supporter since 1948. Unfortunately I have not been able to attend any match this season,due to ill health I had to have an aorta reconstruction and surgeon would not let me go to matches so cant say much about the abysmal performance in the first 14 matches,but most or the criticism must rest with the poor recruitment in the close season and not changing coach with a shocking record.I have said that I have not seen trinity this season and at the moment have no wish to go back next season and the prospect of championship rugby. Maybe I will change my mind but i really do doubt not unless season ticket price recognise the drop in standards.

I wonder if some realise the impact of relegation
A loss of Sky money
Little or no media coverage
A reduction in sponsorship
Reduced crowds
We still have the same loan payments which unfortunately do not reduce with relegation but less money to service these debts.

I doubt this is what you wanted from your incumbents but this is what they have watched over with the main protagonist departing leaving his mess behind him.

Exactly … think a lot of folk think it’s going to be a doddle ! The loss of sky money is massive , plus wait and see the attendances every week . There won’t be teams bringing nearly 1000 fans to fill the west terrace ! It’s a total disaster of a season , just shameful !!

Yet when Minards said they were also preparing for if we ended up in Championship he got lots of criticism.

Let's hope he did actually plan for it and ignored the Facebook accountants.

Yes but sadly they were preparing for the championship before the start of this season.

Sorry Trojan but all I've read on here is how it will be great to win more games......fed up of losing every week etc etc . Same at the game last night ! no matter which way you look at it its a disaster !! Lets hope to god this takeover goes through or we are stuffed !!!

Do people on here think we have any money without this takeover. We had a share issue which made 349 grand. Mr carter's dad out of the blue put 300 in with no return, knowing the club was being taken over. Why would he do that, to prop up the club maybe, to pay the bills, to stop us going into administration, we'll for some reason he made this gesture, then Ellis pumped money in add to this we can't afford to sack the coach and the loans need paying back. Pop tart I can't decide if your loyal to this current lot of failures or blatantly stupid.

I understand your frustration with relegation (same for us all) but you are firing at the wrong guy here. I didn't miss a tackle or sign any players.

The end of season nude run as been scheduled over two days due to the numbers involved.

They could run from the end of the season to boxing day and still not make it from one end of the pitch to the other
