monday has been mentioned on here alot but today someone told me wednesday, so lets say next week

It will have had something to do with updating the RFL on the situation, something to do with us not being able to register any players, and something to do with something else. I don't know when you'll find out about it, though, or if you ever will.

I would have thought it would be something serious to hold a meeting on Saturday night!

Just be aware...the reason behind the administration process is to try to save potentially-viable businesses as a going concern - that in the past would almost certainly have been broken up or wound up through the effects of the receivership and/or liquidation processes and Crown Preference.

This means that, whilst the interests of the creditors remain paramount, the interests of other stakeholders (including the employees) are also important and the over-riding objective is to save the business as a going concern.

Wonder who the biggest creditor is…

the church near belle vue used to offer meals, special dietary needs for players, conference rooms etc and were owed an amount of money when Trinity went into administration in 2001 - this money was just to cover costs and the church saw it as doing a good turn in the community at no risk to themselves or the other more important services they do in the community around Belle Vue.

So, Wakefield Trinity went into administration and as part of recovery plan was to pay 1p in to the pound for all outstanding debts. The church, hard up and finding that they would have to cut corners on more important community work complained and refused to accept it, intending to go public and stop the deal - at which point the club put pressure on the church by essentially letting them know that if wakefield trinity go out of business they would make it known which creditor in the community had forced them out of business.

The church no longer does business with WTW, the volunteers who help out at the church were disgusted with the behaviour of Wakefield Trinity and at least one of them (whom I heard this from many years ago) is finding it very difficult to have any sympathy for their current plight, he also finds it difficult to square this incident with their claims of being a community club.

I swear to god this person is not me, I'm closer to Richard Dawkins than anything with my religious outlook, but it's worth bearing in mind some of the victims in the whole administration shenannigans

I could also mention how Leeds United and Ken Bates shafted St John's ambulance service with their admin...

It's not always businesses trying to make money that suffer, it's charitable organisations just trying to cover costs whilst providing an important service that also suffer

Didn't SRW change his donation fto being a loan, this makes him a fairly significant creditor as well

I think in comparison the ammount of debt will be very low. Its all a bit of guess work but from the sahreholders meeting and from the reports in the press re Rodders it looks like we owe the tax man about £ 300,000 ( winding up petition to be heard on Wednesday I think, hence the need to apply for administration on Monday ), it is reported we owe Rodders about £ 160,000 ( monies he loaned so the club could pay the last winding up petition ) we owe the bank about £ 100,000 ( I think Ted confirmed at the shareholders meeting that he is the guarantor for this loan, so the overdraft will likely be secured against his house ) and someone on top table at the shareholders meeting confimed that the ` trade creditors ` ammounted to about £ 100,000. So I think the total debt will be somewhere in the region of £ 600,000 to £ 700,000. This of course is a huge ammount of money if like now we do not have the proverbial pot ( that said it is only the tax man that is due now, hence the plea for £ 500 people to give £ 1,000.00 ). Crusaders went down for £ 2.2 million from two years trading. The good news, if you can call it that, is that we do not seem to have any Rugby debt, we do not have any loans from SL / RL, the players and staff are paid in full, so the SL /RL will not be forcing any potential new owner to make good the clubs old Rugby debt ( Crusaders new owners have had to carry forward a £ 700,000 rugby debt, the RL have a charge on the ground to secure it, can you really see Crusaders been able to pay that debt. This is good news because it means that any interested party in Trinity really is looking at buying a viable business, they will be able to make an offer for the clubs assets and agree term with ` essential creditors ` ie Rodders, the company that supply the shop etc etc. Most importantly they will look at the potential for the business that Newmarket offers. Once a new owner is announced then we can all get back to ensuring that the public inquiry goes our way.

Add an estimated £130k for image rights and I don't think you're far off, if Leeds win the test case that will be reduced to around £18,500 but until then....

I hear that the debt levels at a number of clubs would make Trinity's look irrelevant but those clubs have the ability to service their debt by one means or another.

The size of debts I hear are: £8M, £5M, £4M and so on, when you think about Crusaders having £2.2M after just two years it makes the numbers I'm hearing look very believable.

Having said that, it's the ability to service your debt that is important and we can't therefore wer'e in trouble and other clubs are not........well not yet!

Those sort of debts are due to the owners of the clubs. Usually interest-free, and subordinated to the interests of other creditors. Nothing private about them - just go get the accounts of the relevant clubs from Companies House. And yes, there are clubs with debts on that scale.

Basically, a club with no sugar daddy to pour money in, underwrite its massive losses and leave whats been poured in as a loan, and that club is probably fekked as far as I can see.

Maybe your new owner will join the ranks of the sugar daddies?

Just been told that the 4th interested party isd a near neighbour of Ted's who owns a nightclub in Wakefield. Don't know if there is any truth in this but if they were successful I don't think we'd see too many redundancies for the family.

If that does happen, it'll be the beginning of the end for WTW.

Let me answer your "post" in 2 parts...........

You may be correct if this was the other way around and I would be lying if I said otherwise. The simple fact of the matter, is that some supporters are simply over the moon that this will happen, IF it's going to be best for your club. Maybe showing some sympathy to others who are also going to be affected, wouldn't go a miss.

As for the last comment, well done

it's people like you that represent your club that make supporters of other clubs, not giving a frig about your plite!!

as for your other point, we will all be over the moon if this comes off, on other posts i have stated that it would be a good thing if we didnt go bust for the sake of others, but it isnt my cash so i cant do owt about it.
