You'll have to ask him i dont know what he's reffering to, although the hudds game is seen as an important one in the fans eyes. At a rough guess those that came on the field to recieve applause there were 20-30 people at a guess. Credit to those men, women and children.

I'm always baffled why some fans, generally Shudds, refer to these games as Derby games. Would think that only Cas and Fev could be classed as 100% our local Derby games. The Leeds games have a long stading tradition of being a Derbys but with the gulf in class between our two sides these days means it's lost its competative edge.
Shudds is just a grudge match due to Super League history.

Just short of 2k according to steward who went and found out - who said himself was more than what they expected

at the end of the day 7 1/2 k is a respectable crowd and is improving for huddersfield

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how many went. All that matters is getting people into Belle Vue and the revenue that generates!

40 give or take maybe did not count them. I personally did not want to walk round the pitch and told Snowie but as the lady had already taken my ticket I had no option. But I will say this that when we approached our fans and there was a lot of them I can tell you, each and everyone of them stood up and applauded and cheered, a very humbling experience indeed and one I am glad I did not miss.

Wishy i've been going there since the built the bloody stadium and have been in that stand dozens of times and i can guess to within a few how many turned up.

Clubs can release whatever figures they like but that does not make it so, and yes i know you have some inside info mate but i ain't stupid (well a bit ) Every game at Hudds the away fans feel that the figures talked about are too low, they can't all be wrong and thats fair play to the Hudds marketing people for managing the figures.

You don't agree with the figures therefore the figures MUST be wrong.

The thing with turnstyles is that they can count every turn. Since you have your own entrance it is pretty easy to audit the numbers going in and which fans they belong to.

Yes i would say about 2,000.more than the stewards expexted because they originally kept us in the middle section of the seats. when they realised how many were coming they opened the full stand.

I know they are wrong.

And that accounts for the Wakey fans that entered through the other stand on freebies does it, the ones i sat with during the game, no i thought not but then again i don't always believe what i'm told.

I don't wish to turn this into "how many fans" debate thats not the issue at all, but lets not paper over the cracks with our eyes shut.

So whatever attendance the club gave out was minus the 40 or so walkers. We went in through a gate then had out tickets taken off us. The turnstiles figure therefore does not count!

For what it's worth and i'm not trying to start arguments i'd say there was around 1400 or 1500 away fans max, quite a decent turnout by you lads, not as many as in recent years but a decent turnout all the same.
You brought more than Cas did to the league game although some of the more optically impaired Cas fans thought they brought over 3000 that night.
