By validating that it's OK to abuse people because it's a player and that's the way the world is.
I'm not saying you are abusing anyone

It was not the sort of post I would have expected from you, if your not having a go why post it on this thread.
I am big boy now and well aware of the "nasty world" we live in, as if that validates your comments.

Think you'll find - in all honesty - that Jordy was getting stick nearly all the time for performing and doing his best compared to some of the others in the team and actually taking pride in wearing the RW&B.
Think your post is extremely harsh and narrow minded.

| Always got on ok with BLM, on here and face to face.
Although he's not the best 13 in the world, and there are some out there that have a creative spark to their game, I'll be disappointed if he does go. He's a lad who always gives 100%, and that will be two like that, we have lost in 12 months, yet we have some players, who at times, look like they couldn't care less.
It's players like him that we should be keeping.
Hopefully, a fresh pair of eyes will see things differently, in terms of player recruitment and retention.

| I'm sure players expect criticism if they haven't played well and this site is one of those where supporters can air their views about players and express criticism.
Problem is, as with FB and other social media sites, some gutless, cowardly keyboard warriors go one step further hiding behind their anonymous status and remarks do get personal, from contributors who probably wouldn't dare say it face to face.

| Jordan is a great lad and totally committed when he plays and always was as a junior. A squad of 13 JCs would now have some points on the table. Shedding Batch, Aydin, Hall and Murphy ( plus Miller, Fifita, Arona, Toupou, Johnstone) is a hard pill to swallow. Ripping the guts from the team has ripped the guts from fans.
Heart and commitment often improve a player’s contribution and fan’s perception and enjoyment. Watching a team give 100% is all we can ask. If ever there was a moment to trash your legacy, this is it. This is a mess to put it mildly.

Absolutely and even with those players, we finished 10th, something we wont manage this season.
Our aspirations now are not to be nilled and to hope that another club goes bust.

Why try and rewrite what happened?
The only one you could possibly say we 'shed' is Hall.
Fifita, Arona and Tupou retired.
Johnson and Murphy went to bigger clubs for bigger offers.
Batch wanted to go to further his career. He'd already made that clear the year before by only accepting a 1 year contract. Ayden followed him on agent advice.
Possibly, we could have retained Miller but I didn't see that many arguing at the time.
And I absolutely love Crowther's commitment and energy on the field but to say 13 of him would have points shows you are just writing words for the sake of it. He has no real attack so we'd have no points unless we drew them all 0-0.
If you'd said the current team having his heart....then I might agree.

You're missing the point re. those players who have left, and all the others' over the last 4 years, players leave clubs obviously for differing reasons. The point is, who we have replaced them with. Since 2019 we have signed roughly 35 to 40 new players, without loanees. I reckon we've had about 10 if we are lucky who have actually been decent. MC misses the point when he says, i'm not gonna spend money we don't have, I agree, I don't want us to bankrupt ourselves. The point is, the money we have spent has generally been wasted, we had no money in 2017 & '18, but spent wisely on players like Grix, England, Finn, BJB etc.
As re. Crowther, I echo a lot that's been said, he's whole hearted and committed, but he's nearly been playing for 10 years, and I don't think he's progressed, his game hasn't developed, but in his defence, he probably hasn't played week in week out enough, and he hasn't had great coaching......

| I suppose the problem if you are sycophantic, your judgment becomes clouded, that and distorted vision from rose tinted specs and seemingly towing the party line.
Decisions are made where to spend the money, you want someone to stay or you don’t and the same goes the players way. In simple terms, would better offers to some departed have been better spent than the cost of Proctor and Atoni for example? One with an NRL issue and one unknown. Then there’s the loanee scenario. Sticking plaster management. If a coach jumps ship mid season, there is something rancid, what could that be?
We seem to be hoping problems elsewhere will solve our issues, can’t see that happening. As a fan, an escape route would be brilliant but it just seems the trap door is already open and we are on the edge like lemmings.

I don't disagree. But that's not what Manuel said. He implied the club she'd these players in purpose.
The replacements have not been good enough unfortunately

| And Manuel......haven't you been campaigning for a change of coaching team?
Why now argue how terrible it is for Wakefield to ask him to go early if he is leaving anyway?
Seems to me you are just arguing the negative no matter what the scenario is.

We need youth and experience , not the holiday makers we’ve ended up with of course but experience nether the less . Players who can hold a lead and dig in when it gets tough and show the youngsters how to go on and nurture them . Listened to a funny chat with Matty English at Hudds when he asked Danny Brough for some advise on his game play , only to be rounded on by Brough who told him in no uncertain terms to eff off you fat bar steward, charming ,nothing like passing your experience on to the youngsters

| PT. I said the coach had jumped ship. How I and others rate him is another issue. That’s not a normal event during a season. Being asked to leave is a different issue. Actually, if he was attack coach, we may be better off, similarly if he was defensive coach, it just doesn’t look good at any level the way it happened.
I agree, I do think Mash is on a hiding to nothing.

But he didn't jump ship mid season. As has been said a couple of times, he got a contract for next season, we talked with Fev and agreed to let him go now.
That's not the same as jumping ship.

| I actually saw BLM last night before the game.
Although they have been talking that is it.
One thing he did say though us that he felt the coaching, and in particular, that of a couple of year’s back when Chester sent him out on loan, set him back, and feels it wrecked his career somewhat.
I got the impression that he doesn't want him to leave, but at the same time, wouldn't blame him if he did

A season where we recorded a 5th place finish, beating the likes of St Helens, Wigan and Catalans where we had a prime Tinirau Arona (29) and Justin Horo (31) featuring in the position Crowther will have been aiming to play at the time.
Unfortunately for him the club/coaching set up made the correct decision at the time not to play a 21 year old up and comer over two NRL seasoned players.
We're five years on and I'm sure their presence, experience and guidance will have benefited Crowther more than he knows.

| I agree to be honest.
I understand a father's view on that season and we don't actually know how Chester spoke to him but if Crowther Jnr is hanging on to that for the reason for no progress then he's hurting himself. Looking at him play and how people talk about him I doubt its the case.
He needs to find a way to improve his attack, even just 10%. It's purely technique. When he hits someone in the tackle they stop dead. It clearly hurts. But when he has the ball in his hand he hits the tackle and is also stopped dead. He always has the lowest gain in metres. It isn't strength or effort. He's either running at people instead of gaps too much with an upright frame or he needs to adjust his footwork to allow for post contact metres.

I don’t see him stopping people dead though in the tackle. He makes a lot of tackles but like yesterday he gets bumped off a bit and leaks plenty of post contact meters.
He’s one that may come into bogus next late 20s imho.
