While I can understand Tusons decision (self protection) I can not understand a hard nosed business man allowing it with no gain to our business

Technically incorrect. You will have reduced Sky money to make up. Can be done though - just look at Bulls. They have survived without the full Sky hand out.

So it's not in our own hands regarding memberships? If we push to 4,000 members then I'd suggest that would make up the short fall, difficult knowing the fickle Wakey fans but in our own hands technically.

Agreed - add to that the Foxy Bingo deal and the club could make the short fall up quite easily. As you say - it's up to the people of Wakey. Do they want a SL club or not ?

Unfortunately a great many of our fans have a "sit back and let someone else do it" attitude. Sad but there it is.

IMHO we can now wipe the sweat from our eyebrow. Tuson wouldn't have come cheap and certainly is a quality player; however we had entered into a contract that we had the money for but one which would of preferably been reneged on.

We need to retain what we have got (if possible) and look to add some bargains and take a risk with one or two (Agar did this before). Tuson backing out of the contract may mean we can retain player X or indeed obtain 2 players for his salary.

The current academy system (get to 20 and if you're not in 1st team, sorry but goodbye) means most of the top clubs have had to let decent young players go. Surely Wakey's plan should be to pick these lads up and bring them into the squad at half the cost of established players? It's no more risky than trying to get through a full season with a half sized squad of experienced players.

We need a couple of Kris Radlinski signings, players who will play for absolutely nothing!

We have now lost Tuson ,Moriano , Wood , Wilkes , Smith , Amor, Cowling .So surely that as covered the £200 000 cap decrease , isn’t about time we were signing some squad members , there is nothing coming out on any retained or resigned players , before long there will be nowt left to recruit .  

We've resigned nearly all the others.
Wildie, Kay and Goulding are the question marks.

whats the rush ...we rushed into silly signings before,,,guys who we are now stuck with on big wages over a long term. I think there will probably be movement in the market still ...for instance Briscoe has just been announced at Leeds so one of the backs at leeds will feel threatened and may want a permananent / loan move ...its a simple snowball effect

I'm not sure if the Bulls are a glowing example of survival, ask Mr Khan !
There is no doubt about it, we have our work cut out to remain in the top flight after next season but,
we have been written off more times than a Phil Mitchel motor and we are still here, still fighting and we will cause some upsets next season, like beating Catalan at their place 3 seasons back, or beating Wigan on their own turf with a patched up squad.
If you like a bit of adversity, Wakefield is the team to support !

Disagree, I would be more han happy if we signed PJ, did very well or us when he was with us last time and he is a solid SL level player that we should be aiming at to bolster the squad.

As for Tuson I am not surprised by his decision and I dont blame him at all and although i think he is a good player and will do well for Hull I think in our current predicament we need some numbers and we may be able to bring in 2 or 3 players for the wage we were going to pay tuson.

I'm guessing you knew what Tuson wouldve been on then?
