Let's be honest Leeds will have world class players across it Wakefield won't we just need good SL players. Remember the play offs we pushed them all the way but just lacked some pace out wide and got ripped apart.

I'd be happy with Fox scoring another 17 tries next season and just tightening up his defence a bit more. He's good at running the ball out and knows where the try line is. Looking forward to Lynne giving it a go. Welcome to Keinhorst I trust Agar understands the balance of the team and that he'll add something different. If Fox/Lynne struggle Keinhorst can come in.

I agree. I'm happy with our back line but we need some depth but I don't think we are in a position to be choosey. BJB or Kienhurst or whoever will be welcome and would start at somebody else's expense.....imho

Keinhorst is solid and unspectacular, a better option than the rumour of Vickery by a mile.
BJB would be a top dollar signing, blue chip with plenty of talent.
Can't understand why BJB is getting pushed to the side , when it was McDermott that took him to London.

As for Foxy, even if he did score 17 tries last season how many games did he lose us? Sorry but if there was more than a chance of us getting BJB I would drive him there myself. It will never happen though.

Lets also not forget Agar had to pull him from the field to prevent us loosing to Cas in our last game. Teams will be going at Fox all season and they will score plenty down his side.

They have done for the previous two, both wings infact. Poor defenders together with what looks like team instructions leave Trinity vulnerable out wide, regardless of who plays there. Fox compounded this by coming up with a number of costly errors too. He likable enough, scores plenty and gets through a tremendous amount of work with the ball, he's just very prone to brain farts. I suppose that's why he plays for a bottom 4 SL club.

Trouble is with some of our supporters they get all soft and sentimental about players. However to me the club comes first and to stay up next season we need to be ruthless and cut out as much deadwood as possible.

Having said that when our chairman at a public forum tells everyone Fox should be the first name on the team sheet (according to Danny Kirmond) then I start to worry.

With Fox being a confidence player and a likely starter, I can see the benefit of his captain publicly stating his confidence in him.

that's it - it seemed a shock to me really. your pack smashed ours that game (especially Ali and Krmond) but we still scored 34 points against you from nowhere by awful plays from your backs.

you don't want your backs doing your forwards that injustice week in week out.

Fox suffered from an alarming lack of confidence last season but don´t forget only a couple of seasons ago he was playing for England!
You don´t lose talent - just confidence.
He probably cost us a couple of games last season but to dump half the seasons losses on him is grossly unfair and inaccurate. The way we defended was equally at fault. Seem to remember many tries scored on Bens wing when he wasn´t there!

No - I think Peter has some serious deficiencies (sp?). The main one is confidence - he is a great asset when his confidence is high - but the opposite is true.

He may have scored 17, but I'd like to know the stat for tries conceded? We score one / you score 2 is not my idea of fun!

Agree BC was equally has bad at times but that doesn't excuse Fox. Even you admit he cost us a couple of games, well next season that will be a couple too many!!! Bet Foster can't wait to play against Fox again in our first home game. Do you remember that game, not much England talent on show from Fox that day.

If confidence is the problem then send him out on dual reg to get some back. In the meantime can't see the point of playing the guy and taking the risk. Leeds have enough players who could do a far better job and I am sure we could get them on loan.

Not sure you've got that ratio correct directly on foxy but I do remember him scoring two and being at fault for two and we still won the game, his faults do lay within his confidence and can pull off some stupid decisions,
His high ball take isn't the best but ain't no worse than some that also can get peppered with them, if there is any fault I would like to see being stopped is the ridiculous running out of position trying to either tackle the or flapping his arms for an intersection leaving the opposition wing man to just have a simple run in and put down, if he's been told to do this I would be surprised

It can't be a coincidence that both wings were guilty of this. It occasionally worked with the wings coming inside to take the centre as they received the ball, but more often than not both Fox and Cockayne were both left looking foolish. I guess its a defensive pattern that needs better players for it to work effectively.

Ben Cockayne who gets a lot better press missed more tackles,conceded more penalties and scored fewer tries. He did make 16 fewer errors over the season.

I would like to see him back as his old self. If that means dual reg for a spell so be it - lets see how he is goes first though, he may have regained some confidence close season!

Well we shall see. However what really miffs me is that we have allowed a young player to leave who is twice the player foxy is and would probably have stayed for half the money we are paying him.

Just out of interest, how would you have been ruthless and got rid of foxy bearing in mind he's a contract for next season?

Can't believe it's not even January and we are already bagging one of our own players. We will only succeed by 'supporting' all our players. I suggest some should look at the definition of the word.

That's why it's much easier to be a forum owner/coach/chairman - because you can make wild proclamations about anything you fancy, without any regard for employment law, contracts or the actual real life people you're spouting about.

With all that consequence free fun to be had, anyone who would want to do it in real life must be a little bit radio rental!
