I don't think they've thought it through.

Super League bosses will allow Bradford Bulls to finish the season as a new company even if the club goes into liquidation in the coming weeks.
This would avoid a scenario in which results from this year have to be expunged due to the club folding.
The club's licence would then be reviewed at the end of the season.
A Rugby Football League spokesman said: "We are working with the administrators to help Bradford Bulls out of administration."
The four-time Super League champions are ninth in the table with nine games left to play in the regular season.


Found this on the BBC site, what does it mean, will they have points deducted for going into administration or not?

If not it seems a bit unfair that Crusaders and WTW did when they went into admin? I'm confused.

Points will still be deducted as normal. There doing this to save loads of work and plus avoid arguments with other teams that have either played or not played yet and it would make a mess of this years competition. This way the actual playing side of things is not affected.

Would the potential buyer have to go through the RFL's 'fit and proper person' test as Andrew Glover did?

Surely this would rule out any of the previous Bradford directors from buying back the club, after the mess they have made.

I would prefer it if the RFL came out and explained how a club who they graded as a B 6 months ago, can be in this position!

At this stage they would probably rubber stamp Dick Turpin, if he promised to see the season through.
The longer term is of course a different matter.

This help will be at the loss of the other SL clubs.
They weren't there supporting us.

They should receive the same help we got while in admin. Simple.

They have already had far more help than we had, but it hasn't worked.
Rest assured though, they will certainly receive plenty more before the job is sorted.

The Bulls have been one of the major forces in the SL era and thier loss would be felt far more than ours.

Tonight WILL BE our last game. There will be no last minute buy out. We will not fulfill our fixtures.
I will be at Wigan tonight and the best i hope for after that is a place in CC1 next year if we are lucky.

Even though the pages on the Wakey forum can come accross as being bitter, we know how it feels and that is something that you just dont wish on anyone else.
Equally, the RFL have said that they will "underwrite" your remaining fixtures this season, which hopefully will give some time to find a positive future.

I'm glad Wakey made it through their troubles.
I think the thing holding back Bradford is the City of Bradford. All the decent people who can afford to are leaving, i only go back for the rugby. If the Bulls go they might as well turn the lights out.

Tough times mate and as just said, I'm not impressed how we were treated compared to Bradford but that isn't Bradford's fault and I hope they sort it out.
I like my trip to Odsal, have some great memories there.

I do think though that the club/fans need to accept that the business needs sorting more than the team. There are too many worrying about losing a player or dropping points rather than getting a sustainable business. It would not hurt Bradford in the long run to lose say Bateman and Elima as examples. They will be replaced quickly at some level or other. If it means you are now a fringe top 8 rather than a top 4 guarentee, at least there is a team in Super league.

I also hope you are wrong but I spent most of last season thinking that was the end for Wakey; so keep the faith (and we know how hard that can be).

They have to cut their cloth as we had to. We've seen some utterly terrible players at Belle Vue, far from SL standard, because we couldn't afford to pay for better. It's tough, but they have to realise that they can;t go bust and win trophies the next season.

(And tonight will not be their last game, I'm sick of the emotional crap we're having to sit through.)

Wrong. The RFL have said a Newco can fulfil the rest of the fixtures, so someone just needs to set up a newco, employ some of the players, and fulfil the fixtures. The RFL at the end of the year will not demote them, because the newco will be doing very will, and the RFL are encouraged by what they see.

does anyone know how long into admin before the administrators starting selling our players?

not sure but I don't think we had a date for liquidation as do the Bulls

Something doesn't add up surely the admin team now should be looking at offloading as many players for as much as possible now.

Doesn't that depend on what the business plan of the new Bulls is?

Either pay a fee to bring them out of admin, and pay more if they keep the best players, or else form the new company and take on the best players.
