Where does it state in your quote that the RFL did not appoint O'Hara's?
However, O'Hara states that he is being paid by the RFL. Who would you take instruction from Wildcats or RFL? If you were O'Hara who do you see as your employer?

O.hara's are in effect WTW ATM so it stands to reason they would take/need instructions from the RFL about the ongoing future of WTW seeing as they are running a RL club.

I suggest you read up about the Administration process.

The Administrator is appointed by the company (i.e. by the directors or by the shareholders) or by the holder of a floating charge. Or by the Court on petition by a creditor.

He is an officer of the court and an agent of the company, and is obliged to act in the best interests of all the creditors while he attempts to secure a sale as a going concern. If the latter is not possible, then he has to secure the best return he can for the creditors.

Suggest you get some basic facts before you come on here and lecture these guys?

O Hara's are obviously the RFL's golden boys when it comes to admin. They claim to have rescued Keighley Cougars,Halifax Blue Sox, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, Featherstone Rovers, Doncaster Dragons, Rochdale, Crusaders during the past decade. The Crusaders of course if you check their forum slipped through hardly noticed due to a lack of anyone giving a .......and the RFL making sure things were all nice and tidy. The rest speak for them selves they were not dealing with a SL set up on any of them.
O Hara has now gone back to the RFL for Plan B only to find out that he miss heard Big Nige during his morning Tea and Cake session. They were in fact discussing Big Nige's sweepstake pick in last night's Brit's !!

But joking apart O'Hara is quoted that they are covered for costs for 28 days by the RFL. Then why on DAY ONE does he start offloading players and spouting guff about needing money for wages etc when he only has to look at the fixture list to see that revenues from home fixtures will be available shortly to him and well within the 28 day time frame.
This was their game plan from the outset.They had a week to concoct it. They can't run a business they are proving it, they are recovering their costs as quickly as possible first and foremost.

O'Hara & co have the assignment because they have specialised in this field.

They do NOT work for the RFL nor are they appointed by the RFL. They have to WORK with the RFL because they are now managing the club. They HAVE to act in the interests of all the creditors or they risk being sued - and HMRC have the clout to do that. And they HAVE to pursue a going concern sale as the priority because that is the law.

Everything I saw in the O'Hara statement made total sense to me - and indeed contained what I suspect were a number of inconvenient truths.

TBF I think clubs are 'advised' by the RFL to use O'Hara's (not neccesairily a bad thing as keeps it simple). But for a club based in North Wales to use them isn't exactly standard procedure.

They are - suits all parties as it keeps the costs and learning curves down, and also precisely because O'Hara's DO know how to run a RL club. At least, a damn sight better than an accounting firm with no prior experience of RL clubs.

The RFL have basically stated that they will support the admistrators and therefore the club for a minimuim of 28 days to esnure that the staff and players are not out of a lively hood should finding a buyer take longer that a few days (as in the case of Crusaders).

If they dont support the club for 28 days then logic would suggest that all the players and staff will jump ship. I think i would do if i were threatened with redundancy.

The RFL is ensuring that funds are available to pay staff and players salaries so that who ever buys the club actually has a club to buy. In essence its a loan to the club to stop it totally falling apart and actually having some staff to run the company.

I assume this is probably to stop the administartor having to sell more assets (players) to pay wages.

Without that RFL cash flow all staff & players would become free agents and could go wherever they wished for nothing! (see Widnes 2007).

Looking more and more like Glover is just full of hot air and does not have sufficient funds to get us out of the soft stuff let’s face it we are not talking thousands to get this club up and running we are talking a few million. I get the feeling he has now realised just how much it will cost him and he’s got cold feet.
