Thought I would do some detective work on our new player so i joined the bulldogs forum and thought I would see what they had to say about him. Some mixed reviews I particularly like the last 1( please c below). Ive also mentioned about the tragedy at our club these rugby league warriors need remembering not just in England but over the pond too.

That then begs the question - why bring someone from Australia that your not sure of?

What if - Frank is a sensation, ideally suited to SL and come the end of the season cousin Willie says why don't you come to Headingley? Bye, bye Frank.

Does seem a strange one. I do think he will do well in SL and he will prove to be a very good signing by Kear.

Hope he will get a longer contract if indeed he gets another one at all. Only time will tell.

But at this point we may be unable/unwilling to commit to a longer deal,subject to which players we are retaining/offering new contracts to.

It'll keep his mind focused on the job. He also needs to adapt to his new surroundings and the different style of game. Not an unreasonable decision to make for a relatively unproven player.

I like the fact he seems to be a ball playing back rower, something i think we've lacked so far this year!

If he's sensible and doesn't just throw the ball about for no reason then he could be a brilliant addition to the squad!

Dare i say it...but maybe another Solomona? No pressure though!

Perhaps we should have given him 3 years like Giants did with Korki, who is currently a bench players for their reserves, really sensible, not! I suspect that JK has a fair idea what he`s doing, there may even be options in the contract which we are unaware of, might be a good idea to watch him play before we pass judgement perhaps

Maybe the desire to have him in the squad came more from the player, and so we agreed to give him a go, which would make the short contract seem more sensible than us scouring the world for players and expect them to uproot themselves for one summer.

Also, we don't know what options are in the contract, as we might have first dabs if he is good, and if he is full of promise, then of course under the tapping up rules, we are the only club that can speak to him during the summer. A good move in my book, and good luck to the lad.
