AG has made a bold statement, now it's time to back it up, I can't begin to tell you how desperate I am for good news of "historic" proportions.

Personally i would settle for Glover just introducing our new first team coach!

I just can't see how he could come out and even imply that could happen and I think you'll be disappointed expecting it to be that.

If you take the announcement at face value then it will have nothing to do with franchises', we have already been awarded a franchise before so how can this announcement eclipse that, plus the RFL are unlikely to let AG steal their thunder with a premature statement to that effect.

As for revamping Belle Vue we have played in and around BV for the last 138 years since the club's formation so I can't see where there is any earth shattering news surrounding staying there, imo the only thing this statement can mean if it is not hyped up just for pure sensationalism is that we are leaving at the end of the season. Rumours are rife that we are getting into bed with Ossett Town after their windfall who knows, but I would not mind betting a shilling that the announcement when it comes along with all the finer details of his plans tells us we are off to another part of Ossett where Championship rugby is played.

That would be a good opening, but I am hoping for much more more to live up to its billing

My money is on a world record attempt at polishing a turd.

It is going to have to be something big to turn around the whole negative cloud that is over the club at the moment which has been caused by the last two poor performances.

The positivity is getting harder to keep up but I will still be there.

I hope the news is something very good to reinvigorate some positivity back to the fray.

i can only assume that the announcement will be ground related, and hopefully something imminent (ie. for the start of next season).

this would mean that wakefield would have addressed the issue that the RFL said was their concern.

meanwhile castleford will not have done anything to address their problem (ground)

and harlequins will have not done anything about their crowds.

also with crusaders on the brink of another financial meltdown.

puts pressure on some others

Richard Lewis has already stated that it's wrong to judge Harlequins on crowds, laying the groundword for the RFL to ignore that aspect of their franchise application.

Not long to wait for the BIG one, lets hope it lives up to some of the expectations delivered on this thread otherwise i can see blood flowing down the Calder.

Yep, its very wrong to judge them on a that and anything else that suits the agenda.

pretty sure its a bit of a popular mis quote. i think what he actually said was that ; "rugby league" in london should not be judged purely on harlequins attendances.(could be wrong tho)

not for one moment however do i feel that quins are under any real threat.
but if we are seen to address our failing it is harder for the RFL to justify kicking us out.

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I don't get what could be more important than the meetings which were held just prior to the club going into administration.
The club was stood at the abyss; what is more important than that?
I, for one, would not class a statement regarding a licence or ground related as more important than that.

Is it beyond the realms of fantasy to think that AG is talking in terms of the "clubs history" as the formation of 'the spirit of 1873'? As technically the old club died when it went into administration i.e. most important meeting since the new company took over.

Well all will be revealled In a few days I've gone from the initial excitement of dreaming what it can be and with hope that this great club finally has a secure successful future, to thinking it may not be the most imPortant announcement in our history, but why hire cedar court if it's not a major positive announcement. There is one thing for certain AG plays his cards close to his chest I'm amazed nothing has been leaked out yet. I'll be there on Wednesday night hoping and praying for the most important positive announcement in Wakefield Trinity RLFC history
