At this moment in time probably glees at centre and George on the wing but you said earlier there proper and recognised position where jk says George is a centre.

However, george isnt recognised as a Super League centre.

Am not quite sure really because I am not in the business of second guessing JK, imo he would probably put George on the wing and play Gleeson in the centre. That opinion is based on the fact that George is better in both positions and is equally at home at either and can adapt a lot better. And fwiw I will say again George is a centre what gets a game where he can when fit because of Martin and Atkins. Just like Grix is having to play winger because atm its the only place he can get a game.

Why is that then. Can you explain to me briefly please in your opinion what the laid down criteria is for being a recognised SL centre.

Playing in that posistion at SL level would imo constitute most peoples opinion on whether they were a recognised player there.

Ok ill try to explain it once more,

If there were two posistions to be filled in the centre and wing posistion

and there was only gleeson and george fit to play in these posistions i.e. blanch was injured etc

would you choose

wing : george - centre: gleeson

OR

wing: gleeson - centre: george

So if I have got this right then, what you are saying that its the fans what have the final say whether or not a player is recognised in a particular position and not the coach. That is a very interesting theory cant say that I agree with it though.

I think George has played most if not all sl games on the wing, so when you see his name in squad you presume he will be played on the wing

I am sure JK will take into account your fears that because George has never played centre for the club in your opinion he isnt one. He was brought from Hudds as a centre by Kear for the future not to be thrown in immediately, and due to injuries has maybe not progressed as quickly as the club would like. And if you throw in Martin and Atkins it makes it even harder for him. I have no intention of going down this road again because I have said this in an earlier post which you chose to ignore. For the sake of harmony I think we will have to agree to disagree. But the last word from me is that George is a centre, not a winger and any smart words' from you will not change that.

Your quite right there. There are a few players at the club what are not playing in their preferred positions because of differenf circumstances' and because of the length of time they have had to play there you tend to assume its their natural position.

You are trying to muddy the waters with this recognised SL centre business. George is a centre first and foremost which was my original argument. You are trying to turn this round to your advantage with this recognition bit. It could well be that he never gets a game at centre and has to play on the wing or at prop. Personally I couldnt care less. But yes I will ask him if that is his preferred position, If Kear says he came as a winger I will put £20 into the AW fund if you will put £10 into it if he came as a centre, agreed

Your missing the point here. You agreed with me over players should be played in their prefered or RECOGNISED posistion, then went onto suggest he is a centre. However in the last two or so years he hasnt played at centre but a winger. I then said he wasnt a recognised SL centre as he hasnt played in that posistion (which he hasnt). I dont care what he came as but what he is now and what he has proven to be an adequate sl winger.

And i didnt ask you to ask jk what his preffered posistion was, albeit rather whether he was a recognised sl centre.

Your original statement said play players in there proper/recognised position. Ask jk on Tuesday wat he thinks is george proper/ recognised position.....argument answered.

Like I said when you see George name in the squad you expect him to play on the wing so that you mean you recognise him as a winger.

Would love to see Rooney make a return if fit enough, think hes got a great rugby brain on him and can spot gaps in defences better than most. A proper stand off too, anyone know how hes getting on?

If we can get the real Rooney back it would be a massive bonus for us.

Adam that's not my argument. If you see atkins, martin, gleeson and George in a squad they are all centres but you don't have four centres in your team. Some may have to play out of position.
