No I'm wakey through and through. RW and Jack Fulton on the other hand may sell a controlling stake to him. Definitely sounds as if he would only be interested if he was in charge.

| Good luck to them. Be a major headache for the RFL if by the end of next week both us and Cas suddenly have the backing of wealthy businessmen. I'd be wary though that he might end up spreading himself a bit thin, as hes now sponsoring three RL clubs, three cricket clubs, West Bromich Albion Football Club and the Jockey Club! Then you can throw in events like the world club challenge etc, etc. Just how much money is he making to be able to afford it all?!!

Part of his business specialises in wealth management for sports people and therefore I suspect its a win win. The clubs get some form of sponsorship/investment and his business gets access to some potential new clients

Suggest you read you're own links before you get snide.
"We took this matter to the bank and the solicitors and whilst we have been informed we have a strong legal case against the solicitors for wrongful advice the contract will only settle at 80,000"
Of course you probably consider it Teds fault because he isn't a qulified Solicitor and instead was foolish enough to take advice from someone who apparantly was - how foolish of him
Sainsbury's hands are clean, technically at least. If Ted has any chance of getting his money back it's by suing the solicitors who advised him. Both Sainsbury's and Ted were working on legal advice, it would appear one had a better Lawyer. It's got absolutely nothing to do with Sainsbury's in that they cannot be sued and are not obliged to pay anymore money - I doubt this deal went beyond departmental level and I would imagine they always thought it would be 80k. They didn't stiff him deliberately, it was just another deal to them - what part don't you get?
Here is your link by the way if you need further clarrification

| Then he's going about things in a very strange way!
Canvassing fans opinion on whether they want him to take over the club on a forum seems to be nothing more than an exercise in stroking his own ego!
If he's got the agreement of the BoD behind him he should just go ahead and buy the club!
If he doesn't have the BoD with him then he's being very underhand!
Either way it's strange behaviour

| Would him owning the club have reprecussions on on Wigan & Halifax seeing as Probiz are 'official partners' of the clubs? Would he have to scale back his RL involvment becuse of a conflict of interests?

Since when did the RFL worry about conflicts of interest? They don't seem to have any problem with having a vested financial interest in the continued SL status of a member club while allowing themselves to be the same body that makes the decision of who gets a SL licence in July!

To be fair to the Sleeve and Mrs Sleeve then they don't have a conflict because they are involved in separate clubs as individuals in their own right and legally, the fact they are also happen to be married, is not a conflict... well marriage can be very conflicting, but you know what I mean! ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)

| Since the 1st mention of this big announcement I've gone from enthusiastic optimism to a current state of pessimistic defeatism. Another Ken Davy season ticket deal equivalent on it's way maybe?
Is it really going to be worth the journey? The answer is directly linked to the question will we be in Super League next season.

Maybe not, but we've all made long journeys following this proud club and its just one more curve on the winding road, will it be a good journey, well we'll soon find out.

As a Trinity fan I would say this is a perfectly normal and understandable reaction. I think Wednesdays announcement will shape the very future of the Club if we are going to continue as before but just under different ownership or if there is a chance we might actually be going places. As a Wakefield fan I know which one I'm expecting!

For heavens sake, it's not Sainsbury's who's done him or who he hopes to retrieve the money from - it's his own solicitor.
If it were Sainsbury's that is who he would be suing. If you put your car up for sale on an internet site for £2000 but they sold it to me for £200 who would you sue. You can't sue me as I paid the bill the site sent me. You'd sue the site because they failed to add the extra 0 as you instructed whilst working on your behalf.
Yes clearly it's about the Sainsbury deal and of course they are a part of it but they are not the ones who have caused the problem.

| I've read some condescending & patronising statements in my time but Mr Nahaboo has surpassed all with his naive, patronising and inconsiderate rantings on casforum.
He's setting himself up as the messiah of rugby league and suggesting that everyone else in positions of influence and power in the game are somehow substandard and lack the skills or business acumen to be any better.
I hope the fella can back up his boasting because he's setting himself and the gullible Cas fans up for a huge fall if he can't
