does a specific person have to deliver the news? is that person on holiday? trying to think of a reason but cant imagine why the decision has been put off? its either a yes or a no.; They have had enough time to make sure is not 'we're not sure'

Unconfirmed reports that its only a 48 hour delay. Lets hope so.

I found about this a couple of hours ago, but we were told in confidence and just to hand fire until some more was known. Also we understand that they delay is only 48 hours, but that is unconfirmed. I can't tell you any more than that and I have checked with various other press sources and they have been told the same.

As soon as I have more, I will let you know.

This is what happens when you work with any government agency - they have no sense of urgency and no appreciation of the ramifications of their poor practice; it happens virtually every day of my working life and now it's happening in my so-called hobby.

As someone else has said - regardless of the real reason for the dealy, the rest of the RL community will see this as WTW at it again.

yep, i think you're right here pal. i'm hurting right now, becasue i'm scared that it's been delayed for all the wrong reasons and that the impact will be a negative on on the decision. all that postivity last week and now this, let's just hope it's because pickles is on a tour of a pork scratching factory and not there to sign and date the document rather than anything else.

despite valiant efforts by our club over the years, "wakefield are lying again". i just await the fev and cas fans to start posting on trl to this extent again for confirmation.

I can see the club wanting to make the announcment about Newmarket in a blaze of publicity but all this messing about from a gouvernment department aint unusual.Didnt someone post about that department not at work Mondays.

I work with planning dept's all over the country and regularly have business critical decisions delayed because the planning officer is on leave; they don't pass their work to someone else, they don't have anyone else who can help and they don't seem to care that we have huge amounts of money and our reputation at stake.

I could tell you half a dozen tales but they're all much of a muchness; local and national government is a safe haven for the incompetent - they do what they like with no repercussions; it's half the reason the county's on it's knees!
