Of course he can't provide a chuffin link to back up the statement. If he did, we'd all be the wiser and that would be the end of the debate. It's all word of mouth in the end.
The only thing of interest to me in all of this is, were we paid the full price for the ground? If we were, then fine. Whoever owns whatever trust is of no importance. If we're still owed some of the money due, then it is an issue for the club, though in reality, it's an issue for Mr. Glover. It's his money now that's paying for our pleasure. Let's hope the announcement lives up to the expectations. |

The way I interpreted a comment supposedly from the man himself was that he wouldn't be giving them a sizeable sum of money unless it was to become owner of the club. |

Well it's just a week away until the eagerly awaited announcement with new rumours doing the rounds daily and it's got everybody talking. So whats it going to be? I'm going for Belle Vue back in our hands and upgraded to SL standard maybe demolishing the east stand replacing it by relocating the hospitality block there, temporary stand where hospitality block is now and cover over the north bank. All this until Newmarket is built, and to be funded with help of a football club which wants to relocate and play under our city's name from next season. Or and 15 team SL next season. I'm looking forward to the announcement and whatever it is I hope it's good for the long term future of trinity and sport in wakefield

If the (possibly) most important announcement in the club's history is that we'll be erecting temporary stands at Belle Vue in our bid to win a franchise then, frankly, knackers to it. |

Good luck to them. Be a major headache for the RFL if by the end of next week both us and Cas suddenly have the backing of wealthy businessmen. I'd be wary though that he might end up spreading himself a bit thin, as hes now sponsoring three RL clubs, three cricket clubs, West Bromich Albion Football Club and the Jockey Club! Then you can throw in events like the world club challenge etc, etc. Just how much money is he making to be able to afford it all?!!

Part of his business specialises in wealth management for sports people and therefore I suspect its a win win. The clubs get some form of sponsorship/investment and his business gets access to some potential new clients |

Sainsbury's hands are clean, technically at least. If Ted has any chance of getting his money back it's by suing the solicitors who advised him. Both Sainsbury's and Ted were working on legal advice, it would appear one had a better Lawyer. It's got absolutely nothing to do with Sainsbury's in that they cannot be sued and are not obliged to pay anymore money - I doubt this deal went beyond departmental level and I would imagine they always thought it would be 80k. They didn't stiff him deliberately, it was just another deal to them - what part don't you get?

Canvassing fans opinion on whether they want him to take over the club on a forum seems to be nothing more than an exercise in stroking his own ego!
If he's got the agreement of the BoD behind him he should just go ahead and buy the club!
If he doesn't have the BoD with him then he's being very underhand!
Either way it's strange behaviour
