I like him and he does a lot of things right but he plays a position where we need metres and he doesn't have that.

If we had Griffin and Tanginoa back row then maybe he'd work.
But yesterday showed his flaw too.
He caught the ball and ran well to make a great break in open play. But he went to floor with the faintest of touches. He needs to be able to make post contact metres.

I hear the backline will be a bit different today.

Team busts a gut for 35 minutes then individuals let the rest down with dumb plays.

Score 10 - 6 to Saints, five or so minutes to half time, had to nip to toilet , my last words to wife,watch Saints score just before half time.
They not only scored one try, they scored two. unbelievable, typical Trinity, from what would have been a half decent position going into half time, we are now chasing the game.

Mash must give a hell of a half time team talk, we've actually come out in the second half worse. Individual errors really costing us today.

Well a scrappy half means only a 16 point loss. Best we could've hoped for in all reality. Although I maintain we could've had them if we were half competent. Sadly we are a long way from being so.

They only scored through our mistakes. If Dagger had stayed on it could have been different but at least we are still in contention with points difference.

I think we were very lucky to have only a 16 point difference.
That was yet another game we could have won if we hadn’t gifted them with so much. Sorry, very amateurish by some players.

Well that was a creditable performance and makes the HKR game interesting

I predicted 44-8 to St's, so at least it wasn't that bad. We just need to cut out the silly mistakes and gifting cheap possession to the opposition, but with Dagger's injury looking potentially season-ending(?), then we are gonna be short at full back and in the centre's next Friday

Let's hope there is all to play for when that game comes around
