Why is poaching in a better position? No experience as head coach.
In regards to the other threads on here about the next coach, I don’t think WP is the answer long term and certainly not another Wakefield lad to coach us, as they wouldn’t be as passionate as WP.
That rules out lingard and McDermott on that basis am I right in saying?

For the short term, Poching is the right choice to try and stop this slump, not saying he's the messiah but let's see how they go on Sunday.
Not for me to say who will be here next season.
Just hope the rumoured signings haven't put pen to paper for next season.

Sorry vasty if I’ve come across a bit mixed up with that one if you looked at my comment further down I’m said the lad made a bloody stupid comment and at the time I did say something to him. It was in reply to abuse and threats to his family and that is the only abuse I saw from that lad. My comments at the time were your out of order and he’s a family man with children and no one deserves that. I don’t wish any individual any harm whatsoever.

We cannot expect miracles because it will take time to reverse what Chester did but I would hope to see increased enthusiasm amongst the players.

Thing that worries me is whilst Chester departs and rightly so, what have Poching and Last been doing all season. Surely they must have had some input into player selection and tactics and if they have they haven't covered themselves in glory. 3 so called experienced coaches or assistants in post and we're still crap. Poching and Last running the show doesn't fill me with confidence, hope I'm proved wrong.

But a wakey lad. I always thought Fev was in wakey district. Unless things have changed recently?He was in the same teams as myself and CC growing up.

What does it matter though? Last time I checked where you are from or what club you support has no impact what so ever and how good of a coach you are.

That is the point I was trying to make .Think he played 69 games for us in a struggling Wakey team ,and gave100% did not start getting easier till the March brothers came on the scene They gave100% for the club . These are the kind of people you need round the club .Hope Poching goes well .Think he will make sure the players he picks will give 100% on the pitch .Thats got to be a big improvement on what we are seeing at present

You have to feel for him. He’s human at the end of the day, and has a family that will have read all of the flak he’s been getting.

It is a results based industry, so the professional criticism is justified, the personal attacks aren’t.

It is, however, for the best, for all parties.

We do need a reaction though, from these players, and some of our more senior ones need to stand up and be counted.

Maybe come Sunday we'll find out whether the players were or not playing for Chester, it should be interesting to see their reactions to all of this, and maybe the fans can draw they're opinions now he's not in charge.

Really, don’t buy that at all. I think your clutching at straws if you think Poching has any special affinity with the club, pure fantasy imo. He was a pro player, they don’t think like that these days and even if they did you’d have to assume his big love was Leeds where he played most of his games and tasted all his success.

Even if I suspended my disbelief it still has sod all to do with his coaching ability. He either can or he can’t and that’s yet to be seen.

We really need to grow out of this romantic Wakey through and through stuff. CC didn’t fail through lack of passion, he failed because for whatever reason he wasn’t good enough. I’m sure he was as dedicated and passionate as the rest of us, Im passionate about the club but you wouldn’t want me as couch I can assure you.

he did is job in my opinion and didn't get us relegated but it was time to get different ideas
