Do you know some people are never what they seem. They are able to build a false image of themselves which is quick to impress and can last years before people start to realise otherwise. Typical example is the football scam of Kaisor, well worth a read.
For instance you can give yourself a certain type name or job description which at first glance sounds grand and can open doors by people who are easily impressed and don't look to deep, Once this happens you can continue to add other bits to reinforce this perception and eventually build up an highly impressive profile.

I spoke to Kevin Trickett at a WCS exhibition on one of the Wakefield Artwalk evenings, seems a decent bloke. He showed nothing but disdain for Peter Box and Wakefield Council, referred to them as 'this bloody lot'. |

Anyone see Box's answer to Clr Ahmed's question regarding on going talks about the stadium? Could have wrote his answer on the back of a fag packet it was that laughably brief, and was even submitted to Box before hand by the sounds.
When pressed for more details Box comes back quite arrogantly then persists to put Clr Ahmed down with some unnecessary comments. In the very brief response he did say there were on going talks with Yorkcourt, owners of belle Vue (Manni) and 'other interested parties' but no mention specifically of the club....

Unfortunately, this has been Box's stock answer for the past few council meetings and that doesn't look like changing anytime soon. He also makes a comment to Clr Ahmed that you wouldn't expect business negotiations to be made public, no i wouldnt, but it would be nice to know what your plans are and provide some proof that the negotiations are actually taking place!

Can i ask the a question of the Trust, are we just waiting for the legal advice to be finalised before starting legal proceedings? Or is there another step before that? |

Yep, more smoke and mirrors with the 'no business negotiations are made in public etc' line. I suspect at the same time he's being careful with his words with a potential court case on the line, and it was likely no mistake him not mentioning specifically that he was still working with 'the club' - just Yorkcourt, Manni and 'people concerned'.
The mans attitude stinks, and it's not the first time we've seen him act this way in public (again, towards Clr Ahmed) when poised with the same question a few years ago. Either the actions of an arrogant individual or a man on the defensive - or both! |

This really is a problem, I mean Box is just doing what he always does, deflect answering the question in any meaningful detail by attacking the individual asking it.
With such a weak representation, there will be little pressure on Box explain his actions more pertinently.
It is a bullying tactic, but he is being allowed to do it, that's the fault of the representation, Box will be Box for as long as the opposition allow it.
There is also the thought that maybe the opposition just isn't that bothered or that they have some kind of "understanding"
