Haven't agreed in much you say scarlet ,but I'm with you on this folk asking for 16 and17 Yer olds to play super league is just crazy I'm with them in leaving the likes of mathers and scruton out of the team but Bradford played a few 18yr olds against Wigan and look what happened their bodies just arnt up to it ,and avenger you wanted to know about your posts , your team selections of jowitt and swan at this stage of their development is a perfect example

Not suggesting Siejka should be ditched but that he be the bench utility option. Let's give Wildie a chance as back up hooker to McShane then if Siejka is now a 6!

To be honest the only pedigree a Siejka has is an ex Aussie school boy whereas Godinet has played well in the World Cup and played a number of NRL standard games.

Hope I'm wrong but it's a real gamble playing him at 6 when he hasn't played for 12 months and even then couldn't hold down a first grade place. Just look at where the spark comes from in the team and it's mainly a Godinet and Sammut. Siejka appeared directionless the other day. Is Sammut really a full back?

The thing with Siejka that has been mentioned, is, he has not played for a few months before he eventually came over.
Where as Wildie is up to speed on what's going on at the club.
When we got Sammut should have backed out of signing Siejka but have we signed him just to stop London or the Bulls picking him up.
Siejka is adding to the confusion as someone mentioned and RA has a squad of players he probably didn't expect to have and doesn't know how to use them to their best potential.

When things are not going very well the first person to take the collective blame is the coach.

When things are going well the first people to take the credit are the players.

The coach can only coach with the talent at his disposal.

Some times things go right sometime wrong but what I am sure of is that( the coach) will be making those decisions with the knowledge of the individual players at his disposal injuries, form, attitude in training etc.

Many of these things the average fan cant know but often judge on.

So back to the current position agar had a team stripped from him sold! am sure that given a choice would have retained many if not all to build on.
At the time he could have decided to leave but in turn stayed with an extended contract probably the carrot to keep him a decision made with the agreement of the current board.

No comment from then at this time despite having an opinion on everything else.

I am positive agar must have know the difficulties that would beset the team this year and know the amount of criticism that would inevitably fall on the lads shoulders yet he did what perhaps we should all look at doing that is support the club and team he his working for.

After all what is a fan someone who loves his club?

is it the board?
is it a coach?
is it your fellow fans?



What is it ? well to me its everyone pulling together for better or worse to support an enterty that we all call our club for better or for worse it says in marrage well we are married to our club can we all not be together?

Have the courage to target individual games for the two points its results that will count.

Fans realise we are going to get dumped on and big scores and try and be restrained in criticism.

In a nutshell, Agar is taking justified stick at present due to his team changes for and since the Hull KR game. There is not one person on this forum that will stand up and support his persistance with Washbrooke and to a slightly lesser extent Sykes.

You forgot Mather on the wing - probably the greatest act of sabotage ever inflicted on a RL club!

But I will support Sammut at fullback

Sammut at full back offers more in attack than mathers and can't be any worse at defending. Your all asking for a settled squad yet you want to drop Siejka. Agar obviously prefers sammut at 1 and Siejka at 6. So let's just stick with it. As long as he doesn't change his mind again I don't see the issue. He's the coach, He's at training, he obviously picks what he thinks is his best squad. Just a shame he didn't have a pre season to pick his best 17

Although he hasn't hit the best yet, some of Siejka's passing is very good. Better than Sykes.
It's just a question of whether he will fit in quickly enough and get his confidence back.

It was worth taking a chance but didn't work out.

Seymour was carrying a lot of weight I heard.

Brett Seymour came back to Cas Tigers for pre-season training 2 stone overweight. He did'nt follow dietary plans instructed by the club and then found himself behind Snyd, Ellis and Finn in the half-back pecking order. So basically, he had no way of pushing his way into the team.

Siejka has played but maybe he is just behind in the training program as well as intergating into the club set-up.

Only a dope wouldn't play Godinet and Sammut as 6 and 7. Unfortunatly AGAR is a dope

Just a good job he's very much less of a dope than you....when it comes to coaching a super league side....

Sammut as scored more try's at full back then he did at 6 suggesting he likes playing full back and is still very affective in attack

If Sammut is staying at 1 then I'd rather have Sykes at 6 than Siejka at the moment based on form/fitness.

Sykes is also very aggressive in the tackle. Did you see him smash the Cas player (trying to dislodge the ball) going under the sticks to score the other week? It's that never give up attitude that is needed.

3 wins (going back into last season) in 17 league games isn't the sign of a good SL coach... Kear got more with a worse squad...

But you can't ignore the slaughter of events prior to the season starting, it's 3 wins from 17 but the last 8 have been with an almost completely different squad. I'm not a fan of Agar but I won't use an unbalanced argument just to have a pop at him.
