If it's true that he is getting a starting spot, that doesn't necessarily mean 1-13, it could mean he is the reserve hooker playing regularly off the bench - much like Roby did with Cunningham. As I understand it at the moment he is a fringe player at Wakefield? So maybe that's what he means.

Or, he could be looking to install him at 7 and move Robinson back to 9 next season.

Either way I don't think Lunt will be moving on, if he ever was going anywhere - it would have been last season to Leeds.

I think you've picked up a crackig player whos going to get better over the next two or three years. Good luck to him, he's scored some great tries for us.

That's fair enough, decent player but not worth breaking the bank for, however we will need some cover for the halves now though or can Wildie fulfil that role?

I think we have enough cover coming through the ranks at the moment, Maskill looked good (albeit against HH) and Wildie can only improve with experience. With Aiton on for the majority of the game it shouldn't be a major problem filling the hole.

Because he is trolling. Have you not read any of this thread and have you no idea of Wood's history. He started with us - went lower division - Hudds took him on - we got him back. So why did he not improve dramatically at the "top" club the first time. Why is it that he has played his best footy at a lower club US! So why will he improve on returning to Hudds and why is he less likely to stopping here?

Theoretically speeking you are right, however in practise he is still going to be at a team that wins nothing so it matters little.

Probably a deal that suits everyone. Whoever plays behind Aiton seems to get about 8 minutes game time on average so it might as well be Wildie. Wood likely to have a similar role at Hudds as he did here, but like most people have said he will be on more brass.

No great loss to us and probably not a ground-breaking signing for Hudds either
