I understand you have an opinion, people have stated that Agar knows what he is doing. Give the lad a chance, why doubt him when you know nothing about him? Don't judge a book by its cover. Lets just wait and see ...

You would not have noticed him as he wouldn't have been playing. Broke into Giants first team a couple of years ago, played a few games and really looked like he was going to make, he then got his knee injury and has not played much at all in the last 18 months.

There is no doubt Jon Molloy has loads of ability, he has played a number of first grade matches and done well (not showed good signs, actually played well). He was available as clearly there were question marks over his fitness. Given his history I wouild be amazed if that has not been thoroughly checked out and who knows what clauses are in his contract about knee injuries?

Very good potential upside if you have him on a low risk contract.

LOL he didn't play for Hudds U20's last season against us, that's probably why you didn't notice him.

I am not unhappy with this signing, as long as we balance the squad in the right manner.

I seem to recollect him playing for Hudds first team and impressing, so provided he can prove his fitness, we may have pulled off a good deal here!

My opinion is a 'smug attitude' because it doesn't concur with yours? I don't agree - it's up to you to deal with that without resorting to veiled threats about 'taking it further' - that's just silly.

apologies to bren the statement abouttaking it farther was a bit silly i agree. on my coaching experiance youl just have to take my word for obvious reasons i cant say .if the lad turns out to be a good n all well and good my original feeling was why would we want a player who had failed a medical when we had potential waiting in the wings i sppose time will tell

I'm not sure why everyone is so upset about Molloy being brought in to potentially replace Mariano.
He isn't "our youth" in that we've invested years of development in him.
He came in, in exactly the same way Molloy is now as a young lad from another team who hadn't been getting his chance to prove himself because of other more experienced players.

He's had a good go at first team with us. I guess the club is now saying they are willing to try someone else instead (Assuming it is he who is going)

Replacing Mellors, less bothered as he was always an interim measure.
Replacing Walshaw or Trout or Annakin I'd be very resistent to.

Now thats what gets me why farm Walshaw out duel reg and not give him a chance then bring another one in.Second row is where we are well covered so instead of going for a player who has had injury problems in the past why not use our own youth.

Why laugh? You fol;k have short memories. The season we had nothing MAriano virtually full season in super league he was outstanding under John Kear his 1ST SEASON not nurtured in the deep end he showed up didn't hide and was arguably the player of the season in his FIRST YEAR.Hes had a few injuries still pretty new to super league last year we went on a 8 match WINNING STREAK (best in our SL history) with Frankie as the interchange. Hes still young, quick makes breaks etc. SHORT MEMORIES. He wants to get back into the side hes trying his hardest yet Agar is not giving him the time of day. Like Ellis hes not his own boy so he will drop him like a unwanted dog.

Even if its a like for like, the club are already over loaded with backrowers. Its a strange way to utilise a limited budget. However i suspect with his previous injury record he won't be on a huge amount.

It might just be a matter of opinion, but I think that it has provided the glue that sticks all the pieces together!

In this case I am prepared to accept the opinion of his peers!

Mariano was outstanding in a poor team. Because of that IMO he became complacent and felt that he was a MVP and that ultimately became his downfall. His attitude changed to training and he felt he was better than he was/is.

Unless its one in and two out??
That would free up space, money and a o/s space to then spend where needed??
