I still think that the couple of shysters who own Crusaders have got to shoulder the lions share of the blame on this one, but it does seem that the RFL held on until the very last minute, perhaps in an attempt to formulate the best face-saving strategy?

The players, fans and club employees are right to be angry - I'm just not sure who with.

I would say the owners need to shoulder most of the blame, as they must have known for a while that they were struggling.

I don't believe for one minute that they left it till last weekend to do some projections and found they were not viable.

They should have announced this weeks ago and saved everyone a great deal of grief, players, fans, the RFL, other clubs.

If we can persuade Rinaldi and George that we are moving forward, then we may be able to convince them to stay. They could sign a three year deal with an option for longer (should we get another licence). I really hope so!

Murphy has a contract with us for next year so he is staying.
