Apparently we are stepping stone to bigger and better things and "a short future is on the cards here".
Not the most encouraging words from a player that having just arrived in the country was talking about discussions with the club about signing a 2 year deal.
Wonder if he is being offered better elsewhere?

Can't complain I suppose. If he hadn't shown promise the club would be looking at alternatives. He's here to showcase his ability and if that attracts the attentions of others thats the risks you take when offering short term contracts.

Better than him saying I've found my comfort zone. To step onto bigger and better things he needs to shine. If he shines for only 1 season it will make the fullback position a bit of a novelty for Wakefield fans. I had no problem with Henry Paul moving on to bigger and better things. |

I think he needs to prove himself first! If he is good enough and our new coach wants him to, he may want to stay with us, loyalty and all that!! |

I agree, he is being honest and is obviously driven. If he were to sign a 1 year deal to put himself in shop window I could live with that if he puts the effort in.

Lets see how good he is first but like you say if he turns out decent and the club goes from strength to strength, he may change his tune. |
