| Do Cas even have full planning permission? If not I don't see why [isome [/ifans are taking the moral high ground with regards to the development of their stadium versus ours.

If it's for WYW it will have lots of footage of cheerleaders in it.

At this moment in time and looking purely at the stadium build situation and not franchising, I would rather be in our position of trying to get planning than trying to raise £15,000,000.

| Quote ="dids858"Best look at your map Dewsbury's ground is not in wakefield. But it nearly is.
I said a while ago that wakefield could go to Dewsbury but I was there a few weeks ago and you could only put a temp stand up at the scoreboard end. And you would also need extra turnstyles and toilets.
Well you could temporary stand BV for that matter with loads better hospitality available until NM comes on stream. Remember we cannot be ejected from BV until we have a stadium.

I'm not sure the Cas Stadium will cost that amount but who knows.
However:
[uIf[/u Yorkcourt get planning permission they may well re-assess their "commitment" to a New Stadium depending on the area of land available to develop, the state of the Industrial Real Estate market in a 18 months time, the state of the economy, and their ability to raise funds to let a contract to build a Stadium and construct the infrastructure required, before starting on any Industrial Units.
They may find themselves in the same situaution as Cas are supposed to be in now.

| Council help to upgrade Post Office Rd to SL standard won't cost much as Rovers have already done a deal for two new stands. Just need the pitch moving and stands erecting. Wakefield play there temporarily and keep their SL licence and Rovers have a SL ground for their future aspirations. Everyone's a winner! Makes sense.

| Cas 100% will not play at Newmarket. Forget that
Cas will gain Full planning permission next month, We have a major stadium announcement due in 2-3 weeks. Which will be telling everyone exactly where the funds are coming from.
The build time will ensure that we wont be in the stadium next year, But for 2013 we will definitely be there.

Yes, stating a FACT given by the council, towards a comment about the Featherstone stadium is clearly showing nerves
I know you lot just can't help but comment on everything I say but you'll have to help yourself
Oh, and just wait for the next announcement about the stadium - that comment by Glover does sound very Ted like though, I mean why did he drag Cas into something they aren't involved in/something they don't want to be involved in?....well unless he's trying to make Cas look bad because they're doing well.

I reckon it will be at the top end of this estimate now due to inflation since the project was originally conceived around 5 years ago.

The project has changed since the Outline PP went in. The designs have changed and were only released last year in summer.

This is true but my point is that due to inflation the estimated cost must be significantly higher than was first thought.

It is plausible given the cuts that have occurred over the recent weeks and months. However, given the state of things at the moment it may be a case that prices have decreased with businesses desperate to work and get some money rolling in.

True, but the cost of materials has gone up sue to the rise in production and fuel costs thus in theory the price of building anything will have gone up.

| Not sure what AG was thinking off when he mentioned this. GH won't be started until 2013 and NM probably similar if it manages to get through the PI - therefore there is no ground share with Cas that can secure us a licence for 2012-15.
In addition what other club in the Wakefield Area have a stadium that would meet the SL stadium requirements?
Alot of what AG is doing is great, but I have already resigned myself to the fact we will not be in SL next season and maybe that is why there is no mention of Oakwell, because he is already thinking about the 2015 licence application.
