The stadium is dependant on the development gaining approval, not necessarily whether there have tenants for the units or not. The stadium must be built first before the rest of the site I believe.

I would imagine that it is based on the approval of the industrial complex, not sale or lease, or else it would never get off the ground. The ground would be a short hop from the junction of the M1 and the M62, and so I would expect the units to be filled easily.

I expect opposition to either A) become appeased with the complex and realise it's benefits, or B) wither away... Legal action costs money & requires a decent argument & "not in my back yard" certainly isn't one.

As it stands now, 4 free-standing stands would be built, with corners filled in to expand capacity. however it now appears the trust would prefer it to be done from the start. i do prefer the closed model though!

Having seen all the information however, if we don't get this site approved and yes the club will fold if we don't, but we will never ever get another setup to beat this in the Wakefield area. If the council aren't interested in this, then they aren't interested full stop.
