| Wigan had a band on the other week: what's the point really of it. As for Sampson, personally thought it was a little flat, but its not for the likes of me and really iof the club pays him X amount and Y amount of kids come and it pays for itself then why not. CLub has done this three years in a row so much see some benefit, maybe in the family atmosphere long term.
6500 is ok really, but its dissapointing that our first home game is three weeks into the season and against Salford who's support is minimal. If you play Cas opening Sunday on a decent Sunday you would get 8500. Would expect more on Friday.
As for the game thought it was testament to Kear's skills, well coached, played to our posiitves (ie Brad Drew'd passing game, first try was an excellent weighted flat pass) and worked really hard, usual suspects busting a gut Wilkes, Stosic, JD, Snitch (Henderson although most are critical carts some ball up). Thought Gleeson was excellent defensively on Talau (his try was a matter of exhgaustion on Gleeson's part)Blanch and Halley looked dangerous. Atkins pushed a couple of passes which was encouraging (although I expect of it as a wannabee international to show something running at Littler).
Salford very poor first half (bordering on inept) and sorted themselves out sencond half (although we had the game won by then). Looked better for having Paul on the field and Myler looks a good runner, Leulai looked a quality prop. For me we were simply tired playing out of the position, you have guys out there who are playing an awful long time out of position and looked tired (very much like last year really) and Grix was obviously a big loss; Drew at one point was just ambling about in back field (as a 33 year old who wasn't subbed i dont blame him) Really pleased as it was a good proffessional effort to seal the win, but Salford at home if you want to make the 6 has to be a gimme and in fact a better team could have hit them for forty in that first half.
Will the same level beat Warrington next week, perhaps not, I think we are ill suited against a team that is going to come hard through the middle ;but with a little more quality than Salford and the injuries are really going to tell, a five day turnaround isn't ideal. Need Scully back and Sam, and if we play to our positives again can see us pulling off another shock. Big couple of weeks for us, Warrington and Cats at home are the type of games that uf you win you mnake the plays offs, if you lose you finish 10/11th think it will be that tight this year.

| I supose it proved our support is improving even if it's not a massive increase but any increase is better than nothing.
A few seasons back you would have been lucky to get 4500 there.

| Thought we did a good job in the first half and pretty much finished the game off. Then second half in true Trinity style tried to make it as tense and uncomfortable as possible. In the end a very solid and important win despite having a few out.
As to the pre match entertainment each to their own but even if you like that type of thing don't think the middle of a rugby pitch on a barely raised platform surrounded by kids is the best vantage point for such entertainment. However if brings folk through the turnstyles then fair enough.
