| we played like suicidal mongoloids at times, forcing some stupid passes/offloads. That incident on Foxy's side was a complete joke (not his fault, mind). Also, most of their try's could have been prevented had we not been tackling like fairy's

| Who threw the Pass from the scrum over Collis and fox's head? That and mathers sending out a needless pass on the repeat set really cost us the game.

| Think we peaked too early! Threw the game away - one more try in the first half would have seen off Hull. But they like many other sides had fight in them where we don't . Looked like men against boys in second half.

| Disappointing today, played like they did against Salford, only difference was that today Hull had a bit more about them. Richard Horne didn't do anything spectacular, but his kicking game was better than anything we produced. For me the turning point was when we were 16-18 behind, 16 mins to go, and Sykes dropped Cockaynes flat pass. Should have been looking for a solid set of six, possibly getting a repeat set or making Hull come out from their own ten. I backed Mathers on another thread. Today was a game when he should have stood out against an understrength Hull side, but he was overshadowed by the Hull fullback making his debut.

| Quote ="Trinity Till Death"We were our own worst enemy today, gifted Hull possession numerous time. At 10-0, Smith threw a ridiculous flat pass, then the fiasco from the scrum which enabled an easy try, Ali Lautiti offloading to them and lastly after having the tackle count wiped down we just threw it in to touch.
We were in control of the game early on, once we let Hull into it we made some baffling decisions with ball in hand. When are we going to respect the ball and roll the sleeves up and have the patience to grind out results. We've thrown leads away against Catalan, Huddersfield and then today. Today was another missed opportunity and i don't blame Agar, it's the players who need to take a hard look at themselves.'"
Agreed - as far as Tim Smith goes his passing is usually accurate, in fact the bloke is superb at it but every now and then one doesn't make it to the intended target. I accept that, because most of our attacks stem from him. I just wish we had someone in the team who could make a break. We should have gone for the kill today at 10 nil but suddenly we were in pannick mode!

To say how bad we were we only lost by two scores.
We lacked energy (maybe the result of too many players doubling up Mr Agar) vision and enthusiasm.
If that team had performed we would have beaten Hull comfortably, that said credit to Hull who came back from a shocker on Good Friday.
Also glad that the Stasi missed the decent FC fans that were stood with us and two rows behind the FC fans they "moved on".'"
The Stasi stopped us going under the stand on the west terrace, only stood there for 20yrs, had to move to the east stand....And there weren't ten people in the west terrace under cover all game, Jimmy Elston and Andrew Glover, stand by your computer in the morning for my e mail!!!

| We looked tired yesterday. Think more rotation was needed yesterday. Hull looked more fresh than us for most parts if the game and we were using backs and Aiton to drive to ball in far too often. Mariano and trout should have been used and maybe mathers should have had a week off and should have let lee smith
Play there from the start. We could have had Wood on the bench to cover the hooker and the halves. I know hindsight is wonderful thing but think because we beat Cas so easily we didn't really think about this game coming up. There should have been a plan to rotate no matter what. We finished playing on Friday when other teams had played during the day. I know some say it was only about 6 hours difference but by the time they finished that day is nearly over. And Raleigh was not ready to play either.

| 2 points thrown away.
Instead of a basic game plan and with a decent kick at the end of each set, we were trying to score from every set and some of our passing would be unacceptable for U8's, never mind a pro SL team.
Surely the game plan against an out of form team is to put them under pressure and make them go the length of the field to score ?
In hindsight, we should have rotated a few more players in the squad.
We certainly looked jaded but, as the op has suggested, we simply did not respect possession of the ball

Not a bit of it, we were to blame for the loss entirely.
Us blaming the reef is as unjustified as Cas fans blaming the ref on Good Friday, we just weren't good enough.

On the rare occasion that the game was allowed to flow they looked by far the better team, they were making yards on their own while we were just playing one pass rugby and waiting for penalties.

| It's hard to find something good to say about Trin yesterday. It's not that they were terrible, they were just tired and slow both physically and mentally so Hull could just eat up any attack we tried because it was very basic.
Can't do that against Wigan! Hopefully they are tired from all the try scoring!

They were I wholly agree.
We competed for the first fifteen minutes then nothing.
A better team would have beaten us by more than two scores.

| you misunderstood me Kinley
I wasn't saying the ref was to blame for the result, I'm saying when I saw it was him reffing, I decided not to go. Hence he has cost wakefield my admission money
come on lad I know it was early

Unfortunately when a team underperforms as we did, the opposition doesn't have to be briliant to win. After the first 10-15 minutes I couldn't really see where our next score was coming from.
One to put to bed I think. The team did look jaded,we all know they CAN play better than that!

| I thought Hull played very well, excellent kicking game from Horne meant we only got the ball in our own 20, first class display from the Hull youngsters Crooks, Lineham ( sp ) and Shaul. Fantastic linespeed from the Hull defence for the full 80 mins which put pressure on Smith and Sykes, a master class fro Houghton of how a modern hooker should play, Hull got three men into most tackles and did tackle round the legs ( unlike us ) , most of all their forwards were great and handed our lads their backsides in a basket. They were patient and built pressure well, all in all I thought Hull were very good and we could not match them. I put the win 90% down to Hulls good play, 10% down to the fact that we were mentally weak thinking that the game was won having gone 10 up. We seem to have the ability to put the cue on the rack. Got to say Anakin was once again great, would like to see Walshaw brought back and given a start as I think he has a point to prove.

| Maybe part of the reason for the abject display was the fact we had had an extra week off and therefore found it harder to back up so quickly after Friday. Not making excuses for the team, just wondering if this was a contributing factor.
Also having 4 forwards who missed the week before and longer in Kirmond and Raleighs case, may also have led to the lack of go forward
I would add that none of the above excuses our continual failure to do the basics of the game right (tackling round the legs), working from marker to stop easy hards from acting half, playing panic rugby when we don't need to etc..)

| I don't think the Hull win will have taught them anything about their side - they were pedestrian and played very basic rugby; we appeared to have about 15 mins of life in us, then we sputtered to a halt and ended up looking flat, jaded and disinterested.

| think we just needed the win (any kind of win) yesterday which led to a very basic gameplan. Missing, McDonnell, Yeaman, Holdsworth, Seymour, Ellis - we had to make sure that the kids that came in could implement a pretty basic gameplan, and with Horne kicking well we were able to do that
