Looks a good signing, some of the over seas signing so far this season have been top draw in my opinion.

Puletua being the main fantastic signing.

Shame ones like Eastwood or Crocker didnt come off. Would have improved the league even more.

I can remember Noble bleating on and on about how he would love to put youngsters in the side and not have to spend loads on aussies because of the threat of relegation , so he got his wish and they won't go down , but still thinks Smith's got to get the nod before Tomkins . Just another poor player who probably can't believe his luck !

Been one of our better players over the last few years, and personally i do think he is a good player already but has bags of potential to boot, very pleased to have him signed for a further 3 years, very usefull player to have at the club.

No all teams have the same cap. Wakefield do not spend to it, but they still have the same cap potentially to spend as any other team, the financial viability of that is the issue not the level of cap itself.

As Jonh points out, you seem to be getting confused with the ability to spend the maximum and the salary cap itself.

Huddersfield have a backer who can subsidise the club and bring in high profile signings. Wakefield do not. Wigan have a large core of home support and an illustrious history which enhances their ability to spend the full cap. Wakefield do not.

Backing up my earlier post - apparently tim smith was rubbish again tonight , and no sign of tomkins

Smith has been probably the best player in the league Galea aside the last month or so, he had an off night tonight apparently but still put in a wonder pass for the first try of the game.

Its not often i agree with Noble but the opposition and conditions were not suited to Tomkins tonight.

All I can say is what I've seen of smith live ( v. Wakey) and on t.v I'm not impressed

up untill a month go he was poor hence he was dropped. In the NRL he was outstanding, the last month he hs been superb.

He has not had a shocker since he ws dropped. Ask Noble why Tomkins was dropped. It seems actually those on witch hunt hve selected the wrong plyer to pick on in Smith, Tomkins ws dropped for Riddell. Either wy its a poor attempt at slating one of the best youth systems in the country.

Not a fan of Noble at all but prior to the game i can understand why he did it.

Wht will be of interest now is will Noble put hos hand up and take responsibility for dropping them, he ws only too eager to put his hand up for selecting them even though in reality he had no choice, but now he has choice they miss out.

So tomkins gets dropped for a fat chuffer who can't last till half time before he needs a rest !
