I often wonder if TJ regrets extending his stay and what his advice to Murphy would be now.

But if it's Gale you mean then he offers everything that people have been accusing Miller of lacking for years - he can run a game, he can kick close to the line, he's no slower than Miller. he has destroyed us for years, he has better hair them Miller - OK the last one is false.

Sometimes as fans we have to accept our limitations, it's hard, I struggle myself. But maybe it's just a case that the Coach knows best, he knows what he's got and what he hasn't, and how a player will help create a team. We have a relatively young team, we desperately need some nouse, that was evident most of the season. For me it's our defence that has shone rather than our attack, but that won't win us every game, we need an old head or two.

TJ was always first choice once he got going, never had to worry IMHO. So he was always in the spotlight and always able to sell himself.

If he'd gone to say Saints at say 21 for his first big deal and then picked up so many injuries do you think he'd have walked back into the team every time - I doubt that very much.

He certainly wouldn't have been in a position where despite a number of injury concerns he got a massive deal from Catalan. Wakefield were his passport to that deal and the same will apply to Murphy.

Lets be right here, the offer Trinity will make him will hardly be peanuts, especially for a 20 year old! It's not like TJ was on poor money and even now it's not like we pay our players in beer tokens.

At Trinity he is safe to develop for a few more seasons, and if he's luckier than TJ injury wise his big move may arrive a year or two earlier. That would be my advise and I suspect it would be Toms advice.

Remember also Toms only 27, he's a few years left yet if he can stay fit.

Gale is not the answer he is clearly past his best. He was an excellent player the operative word being “was”. I would assume his appeal to us is his reputation and the fact he will be cheap and ours to him being we are the only club in SL who will sign him.
I have just two words for those with selective amnesia Danny Brough the similarities are there for all to see. How many games has he missed through injury and suspension during the last season.

People like you said that about Finn etc etc, it's just RL cliches that are endlessly trotted out by those who don't get it. Just my opinion, but I like to judge players after I've seen them in the RWB not before, that's what coaches are good at but then we have a lot of those on hear. I can't wait for one of them to actually be right

It didn’t work too well with Lineham we are stuck with him for another two years and I remember many questioned the Brough signing so I guess the club chose not to hear us.

You do realise Lineham was only 28 when we signed him, one year older than TJ is now. You really need to do your research before trolling. Whatever the issues with Lineham his age wasn't one of them

- Tanginoa shouldn't be prop or second row or prop etc
- Poching can't coach
- throw a kid in we've never seen play

We don't know what they know. So it's great to discuss but let's not pretend we/ you know better.

And Brough was a good option till he got injured. And Lineham didn't look a terrible signing at first. It's easy to criticise with hindsight.

With regards Brough he was good but at his age injury and a long recovery was more than likely.

Lineham has been a disaster and a baffling signing.
I couldn't understand the Gaskell signing either but since moving to centre, he's been solid.
Gale, no thanks but I've said before, Tumivave I'd take.
Can't see us getting anyone like Tamou or Tapau but it'd be nice!
Just hope that we can pick two or three up from the World Cup that are under the radar.
