Maybe this is it !!! Maybe just maybe Wakefield will get something at last !!! Maybe We will actually get a new ground before Cas !!! Fingers crossed folks.

The announcement tonight is the most positive for years well done to all involved we are due some good luck the situation we find our selves in may have worked in our favour. New stadium at our spiritual home look forward to seeing the plans.

Awesome news. Hopefully all the parties can get their heads together and make this happen once and for all.

For me that's the bit of positive news we needed, actually remaining at home next season, with the possibilities of getting the ground redeveloped.

Terrible news was looking forward to watching us play at Dewsbury which is a much better ground in every respect than BV.

would need to relocate while stadium was being built, I can't see 'the others' getting on board though, so hope not another false hope.

I hope it's a more traditional development taking in to account the history rather than a shell .

This appears to be good news for the club & a well done is due to all those involved. Could I ask a couple of questions though:
Have the Trust now acquired ownership of the ground? If not can it still be a community facility? Are there to be any genuine community facilities on site or does this just resolve the stadium part of the problem? How reliant is the scheme on the NM developer & WMDC?
Also what is the current position regarding the other community facilities that were proposed for NM?
Please don't interpret this as bad blood/sour grapes as it really is not intended as such. The club & the community have been abused in my opinion and as a rate payer I'm genuinely interestedly in how this plays out. There has been a distinct lack of public information from all involved parties, some of whom have a duty, in my opinion, to let the public know what is, or has been, happening.

I can't answer your questions steady but you got me thinking there.
So far we have had no sense out of WMDC and Yorkcourt they're just straight batting us. The general consensus is that they're able to take this action because we're a small group without any backing to fight them in court. Could this be a bit of a game changer, could 88M have the backing to take them on? Or more pertinently would they want to take it on?
Just a thought.

Don't know just glad our City is hopefully getting a stadium.
